Moved to that hotel for romantic relationship and it was the hit! Even though the weather was not stable - temp beg May was 21-25C we had a fantastic time enjoying the lazy time at the hotel and visiting the neighbouring tourits oriented towns - Cesme and Alacati. Breathtaking view from the higher level and superb private beach down the cliff. If you are looking for very active leisure time you can join the animation activities (Itaka agency) but the place is perfect for a real laid back leisure. Two large pools, spacious garden area allowing to separate quiet from active leisure styles. Good quality service by household and reception + car rental. We felt treated well and in individualised way, even though the hotel is huge. Probably because that was not the high season yet. With internal pool and free turkish bath we smoothly went thru a day with lousy weather. Turists mostly Turkish and Polish.

I was amazed by the wonderful service and organisation in this hotel, especially as it does not belong to a chain. The food in particular was great. Cesma has a fantastic micro-climate: a cool breeze that blows constantly and takes the edge of the immense summer heat. The cost of the great views over the cliffs and sea to the mountains of Chios is that the hotel is rather a long way from the nearest town. The hotel provides a bus service to Cesma, a classy little town, but there is little of interest within walking distance of the hotel. But the private beach and the hotel grounds are fine. It is well suited to families with young children who don't mind dining in the hotel every day - especially as the no-compromise Turkish food is so fantastic!

Big resort with pools, a small beach, massive and impressive building at first but with little to do and nothing charming about it, it becomes boring pretty quickly. My wife and I were there on an all-inclusive package. Our room was reasonably large and comfortable but certainly not worthy of a 5 star hotel. The air condition was very noisy and did not cool the room enough. The TV did not have one single channel in English or French. The problem was not fixed even though we complained about it twice. There was internet in the lobby but not in the room. The bathroom was clean but overall did not give us a 5 star impression (no quality cosmetics available, etc). The room did not have a coffee machine. The minibar did not offer one single alcoholic drink, just water and soda. The buffet food was of lower average quality, I would say not really acceptable for a hotel supposed to be 5 star. The coffee was nescafe, no espresso or filter coffee available. Moreover, the hotel is located far from anything and you really need a car if you want to go anywehere in the surrounding area. Final thoughts: in this kind of resort you become bored pretty quickly, it becomes like a kind of 'prison' because you have nowhere to go. This combined with the low service and food standards explains our low rating.

This is a lovely hotel with two splendid outdoor pools, a great beach area and an entire indoor spa. The gardens are beautiful and the hotel very well appointed. However we were there in the second week of June with about 30 rooms occupied out of 200. This meant that only one restaurant was in operation which was always a buffet. Most of the other guests were Eastern Europeans who were on an all inclusive deal which made us feel like outsiders - particularly when we were charged for a jug of water!
If you want a peaceful time and a pool to yourself then this is great but it would probably be more fun in the main season in July.
