The hotel has an excellent location. The rooms are large, well appointed and very clean. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The breakfast was wholesome and tasty too. We had an excellent time and cant wait to return.

Situated cose to the centre of town this ottoman style boutique hotel set with a courtyard and terrace has great views of the centre of town. The staff were helpful in organising my dolmus and taxi for my ongoing trip to Selcuk. The bedrooms were renovated ottoman classrooms wiith high ceilings and it is definitely worth the effort to get here.

Wonderful property. New owners are lovely retired couple who took great care of us. Stayed as two families. Very large and comfortable rooms with elegant decoration. Great breakfast including clotted cream and comb honey. We had a chance to sample local dishes like cigirtma and excellent Turkish wines at restaurant. Strong wi-fi everywhere. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The Kind suite was a great size. They also offer triple rooms for families with kids.

We went to this hotel one night and we have been very satisfied of it. This place has a beautiful yard you can eat in. Food was very good and fresh. The room was large and the bathroom was very clean. The service was helpful even if they all speak a little english. It was a great stay!

We stayed for a night to visit the Akropolis and the Red Basilica. The hotel is the most convenient location to visit both places as it is high on the hill, with an easy walk to both. It is also an easy stroll back through the old town.

Like most small hotels in older towns, it is a challenge to find, but there are ample signs to the hotel once you get onto the right roads. it is charmingly tucked away amongst the local streets, with magnificent views over the town.

Previous reviews have detailed the hotel and its rooms. It is beautifully restored, very large rooms and well furnished. A magificent old school complex. We enjoyed a marvellous dinner in the garden courtyard and an ample breakfast.

We were the only guests, and I can understand previous comments about lack of charm, but frankly, we enjoyed the hotel and felt very comfortable. Whilst the staff are very helpful, English is limited.

We would recommend the hotel if you are planning the visit the two local sites and they do deserve to do much better.

As much as I would like to recommend this place, I cannot. It is a fine property - quite lovely, actually. It sits on the hill with the Akropolis with a fantastic view of the Red Basilica. The garden space is large and the buildings themselves (it is a compound of 3 buildings) are pretty. The room itself was big with tall windows. Why can't I recommend it? I travel mainly to meet people; I enjoy interacting with the hosts and hearing their views of the city in which they live. Here, there was no warmth and each interaction we had was difficult. Although we were the only guests staying in the property, it seemed that we were intruders. So, if you are only looking for a lovely space to bed down in - this may be your place. If you are looking for a lovely space enhanced with the Turkish people's charm and delight, try elsewhere. (Oh, and beware the breakfast - if you ask for water or juice, they will try to charge extra... go figure).

Room Tip: A note about finding the place: easy as pie. It is marked on Google Maps and the property has posted...

We found Les Pergamon on booking.com and were taken by the fact that it was located 300m from the Red Basilica - one of the sights we wanted to visit. What it doesn't tell you, however, is that it is 300m vertically from the Red Basilica in a maze of old town back streets. Thankfully, the satnav found it!
It is a beautifully restored group of buildings - but it is a group, and not just one, and they are all connected by stone staircases, some of which (down to the rooms) are not illuminated at night and rather treacherous! On our first night, climbing down from the restaurant, none were illuminated and it was positively dangerous!
That said, the room was wonderful - with a high, wood-panelled ceiling (although 2 bedside lights would have been appreciated) and the bathroom appeared to be tiled with real marble tiles. There were shower gels and shampoos aplenty BUT the tap on the wash-hand basin was motion activated and, therefore, only cold water - OK (just) for brushing your teeth but I do not believe they have a place in a hotel bathroom!
There is a fantastic terrace which gains the afternoon sun and overlooks the town below, with a great view of the Red Basilica.
The restaurant is certainly worth a mention. It offers a comprehensive, but simple menu, and beats most places in town in that you can have wine or beer with your meal - both of which are well priced, for a hotel.
Overall, if you can cope with the stairs, I would heartily recommend this boutique hotel for your stay in Bergama.
