I ignored the information and the hotel's advice, and I went alone. Well, some young men were sitting there waiting for a female foreigner to pass by on her own. A guy from a group who were staring walked up to me and started speaking Turkish. He got face to face and wouldn't leave. I immediately called for a group of older men who were sitting close by, and showed them the guy who was harassing. They quickly jumped in, faced the harasser, and indicated with hand gestures that I should get away. Also, I hear from people that the walls are not safe after sunset, even for men.
