“Very comfortable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

We stayed at this hotel for one night in June 2013. As we drove into to small town, we noticed the massive white mountain of travertine. The second thing we noticed was a run down little, dusty village. Melrose House is a wonderful oasis in the dust. The hotel was comfortable and clean everywhere.
The rooms was not huge, but comfortable. We decided to eat at the hotel, since the restaurant options in town were few. But we are so happy we did. This was the best meal of our 3 week tour of Turkey. This staff, which i believe is all the same family, were friendly and polite.
The breakfast was fresh and filling.

The only small, minor issue was getting the balcony door locked. It was very stiff and had to get help from the staff to lock the door.

A decent enough place to stay whilst in Pamukkale. My room was well appointed and the common areas were lovely. Friendly owner but felt like I was just another paying customer. Generous tasty servings of food.

Upon arriving Umi was full of information and advice. She arranged a complimentary shuttle to the south gate of the Travertines & Hieropolis, provided us with a map & gave us suggestions as to the order to see things in.
When we returned, the dinner provided was some lovely traditional Turkish fare full of good flavours & very fresh.
Our room was a suite on the ground floor with a very welcome spa bath & a huge bathroom. It was a very comfortable night's accommodation.
The next morning we were treated to a great breakfast including cereal, fresh bread, lovely tasty homemade jams, juice & hot food including menemen (Turkish scrambled eggs cooked with green peppers, tomato & onion).
Our check out was smooth & very quick & the hotel arranged for our free transfer to the bus station for our transfer to Denizli.

Room Tip: The suites are great value for money.

Very friendly owners, good food, excellent value, quiet rooms with very very good beds. The rooms are on the small side with wallpaper one might call a little garish and the bathroom isn't fancy, but this was the best value of any hotel in our two-week stay in Turkey. Book early, and remember: no credit cards.

We must have gotten a suite because we had a large room with a very modern bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. Absolutely heaven. I could not be more pleased with our accommodations, especially since they at a very reasonable price.

There was a very nice shaded courtyard where one could sit and have drinks and also eat lunch and dinner. We enjoyed both meals there very much. They also have a pool which we did not use. The staff was very nice and helpful. We had left our electrical adaptor at our last hotel and our innkeeper searched high and low to find a replacement that would work for us.

Room Tip: Splurge on one of the deluxe rooms. Extremely nice rooms at a low cost.

I was surprised at the quality of this hotel, considering the price. It was attractive and clean, with a great pool and large room with a balcony. The breakfast was excellent, and dinner served there was pretty good also. The staff was very helpful. Parking is right in front on the street.
