“Very commercial, not worth the effort”
Reviewed November 25, 2012 via mobile

Expensive, overcrowded and very commercial. The columns in the pool look fake and the pool does not look too clean. Don't bother to swim. It's a pleasant place to have a cool drink though. The travertine are much more pleasant. Spend your time there.

“Save your precious time and money, go for the travertines.”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

We were looking for the excitement of swimming here, but the feel once you are there is that of a beach resort in florida. Not that beach resorts in florida are bad, its just thats not why you went all over the world for. Hords of tourists swimming, pool seems dirty, ruins in it look fake, and if they are not, they should be taken care of not in a pool. The food, the lockers, the towels, made this somehow an attraction, out of place. Spend your time in the Hierapolis, visit the cotton castle, enjoy the sunset on the travertines, walk around the ruins, bath on the pools outside that you already paid for by entering the national park. You can also bath, no extra fee, better view, the real thing.

“A commercial rip off”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

Looking forward to this visit. What a rip off. expected to see this wonder in its natural surroundings. It is set in the middle of a massive restaurant !!! 30 Lira (about £11) to bathe in it when you can bathe nearby for free and its the same water. If you visit Pamukkale don't waste your money on this commercial rip off.

“Needs cleaning”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

Nice experience, I liked how the stones were perfectly located in the pool, however the pool was not very clean, there was algae floating around most of the pool.

“Don't bother. Spend more time at travertines”
Reviewed October 5, 2012 via mobile

This was a waste of time and money. Considering it cost 20 lira to get into ruins and amazing travertines site, 30 lira to swim at pool is a rort!

Sure the water was warm but it was a small, man made pool with a few ruins in it to give it an "antique feel". if you must go, go after 5 when it's empty.

But I recommend spending more time at the breathtaking travertines and give this a miss.
