“Best hotel for Thermal Spa and Doctor Fish!!!”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and the fact they had a Thermal Spa made the experience even more enjoyable!!! I found it very rejuvenating and got to try Doctor Fish and my feet never felt more smooth afterwards!! It tickled a bit having tiny fish nibble at your feet and there were two fighting over my feet!! After that I enjoyed a really nice buffet outside the hotel restaurant and enjoyed the selection!! There is a dish I highly recommend of flat bread with spinach and cheese rolled up, so tasty I had to help myself to more!! I recommend this hotel and it deserves five stars!!

Room Tip: I recommend Doctor Fish that is a must as well as the Thermal Spa!!

Hotel is standard tour hotel. Food was acceptable, but the thermal pools was worth the stay. You can enter the pool from inside the building and then go through to the second pool which is outside. It was a clear night and a wonderful experience to look up and see the stars. You can actually feel the effect of the minerals on your body...smarts a little.
There are three pools, outside, and the water gets hotter the higher you go. The last pool was way too hot for me, but I found the first three just fine.

Room Tip: Hotel was selected by the tour group and was acceptable. Tip, choose a tour group inside of Turkey...

For a bunch of 14 - 16 year olds on a school trip , getting upgraded was the best thing of the trip. The rooms were great , the food was really really nice and the atmosphere was good. we spent the night sitting outside by the pool till 1 in the am and felt very safe.

We stayed here in august 2011, for 2 nights , half board accomodation. Actually the Lycus is a nice and beautiful resort & Spa , near from the main atracttion Pamukkale. The resort has a restaurant and a large terrace by the main pool,a park with beautiful palm trees and in southern the resort is the second pool with very hot termal watter . The rooms are clean and modern. Every evening in front restaurant teracce , the turkish women have cooking traditional Turkish food for all of us.

We stayed at this hotel for a night. The rooms were quite bad, with mosquitoes in the room. The food was good. The bathroom was smelling bad. The main disadvantage is that the walls are very thin and absolutely no privacy between the rooms. Overall is a average hotel for one day stay.

Lycus River is in the Karahayit region which is very near Pamukkale Town. You can catch minibus from Denizli for Pamukkale and Karahayit which is very small town ,there is only one street and you can walk and shop in this street. The hotel has got 5 stars But when you checkin you can see that this hotel deserve maximum 4 star.Hotel is a little bit far from town ,Hotel occupy to a large area and there is no huge blocks.Hotel room is clean and adequate ,matress and pillows are good in the room there is minibar, bathroom,A/C,Safe,Tv but room quality does not deserve 5 star. There is some cracks in bathroom. There is also bathrobe in the room for your pool experience. You can hear some strange sound from near due to thin walls.
I would like to mention about foods ,Restuarant settlement is bad, chairs and tables are very near to one another, you slog when you want to pass chairs and tables ,presantations and selections of foods are also not good ,Staff grouped some foods and distribute them to far.Food quality is good but for 5 star ,variety of foods is inadequate.Hotel staff looks like inexperienced. The lastly I really liked mineral pools ,they are excellent and you must try it.There is also SPA ,It's also very good and has reasonably prices

I stayed in the Lycus River with my family during Oct. 2012. The accomoodation was good but the rooms were not very spacious. The entrance to the thermal pool was free and we enjoyed it. The dinner and the breakfast were good. You will get surprised to see your photography is taken during dinner and the same is ready to sell back to you next day morning after printing on to a crystel tray souvener!
