“Exceptional view from the terrace room”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

If you can afford it, please book the large terrace room. It is a large room (30' X 20') with equally large private terrace. There is just no comparison to the spectacular view of travertine (thermal pools) seen on a moonlit night from the Hal-Tur terrace.

This small hotel is indeed located right opposite from the travertines so the view from the hotel is quite wonderful. The room we had reserved was occupied so we were kindly put in the terrace room that had a great balcony overlooking the whole region. The room was very well appointed with large comfortable beds and an excellent bathroom. The owner was very helpful in advising us about the area and the service and help was all we had become used to while traveling in Turkey. While the town itself is not very noteworthy this hotel provides an excellent spot to spend a night for a visit to this amazing attraction.

Don't expect 5* luxury, but this is a very comfortable place to stay, with extremely friendly management and staff. I booked a room for one person; it had two single beds, decent space, and a balcony facing the courtyard. Some rooms (above ground floor on the correct side) would have a Pamukkale view, but ok without. The air conditioning was exceptional; I actually woke up at night and had to change it to a warmer setting, very unusual for extremely cold-adapted me. The grounds were very nice, with a beautiful pool that I didn't get to swim in, but did at least enjoy a very tasty dinner beside. Breakfast buffet was taken outside as well, and was tasty and filling. Parking was easy and close. Overall very satisfied, especially considering it was only about €50 for the night, with breakfast. The owner has a carpet shop on site, which he mentioned before I left, but there was no high-pressure feel at all, very easy to pass on, no complaints, and I suspect it might be a decent place to look if you're interested.

We had one nigtht at Hal-Tur hotel in Pamukkale. Nice and clean rooms and a friendly service. Good food and local wine. The hotel director drowe us up to the Hierapolis and Travertine basins. We had a lovely day, and can recommend you to visit the place and Hal-Tur.

Room Tip: Rooms at 2. floor against the mountains are best.

Hal-tur staff and owners were very welcoming and helpful! The hotel was full when we were there and although we had to move rooms, it was easy as the staff took care of the details. Rooms were very clean, breakfast was good and we were helped in arranging visits of places that we might have missed. TuFan (spelling?) made sure that a trip to the airport went smoothly as well as arranging for several other outings. Fetah (other brother) was equally as helpful in making sure that we were well taken care of. We would gladly return to the Hal-Tur without hesitation! Thanks to the great staff for a memorable three-days in Pamukkale!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the back side of the hotel. FYI no elevator, but not a problem. Staff took care...

Hal-tur is literally across the street from the travertines and hieropolis so many of its rooms have great views. The hotel with a front yard pool, jazzy music and dim lighting accompanying the outdoor restaurant is very romantic. Most importantly the service is beyond friendly, willing to help with travel accommodations and permitting use of facilities after checkout for those w late day travel plans. I highly recommend this hotel the best deal in Pamukkale. Also, most important, everything is clean.

This is as close as you will get to 5 star in Pamukkale. Great, great service. Two brothers own and operate and they really take pride in their work. The food at the restaurant is reasonable and very good. The rooms are a bit small but otherwise we highly recommend.

Room Tip: The owner will drive you to the travertines north entrance and bus station, both of which are helpfu...
