If you're going to Cappadocia, plan your trip around being able to get a room in this unique, five-room boutique hotel in Urgup. The same owner of the Evin Elke Cave Hotel across the street, Eren, has gone out on a limb to create a hotel that feels so intimate, you believe from the moment you walk in that this is actually your home away from home. Cem and his family open the gate for you if you arrive late at night (as we did) and show you to your rooms, but don't harass you for your passport if you're exhausted, a relaxed and trusting attitude which is very much appreciated by a weary traveler.

In the morning, you'll wake to stunning views of the Cappadocia landscape and a fresh, organic, local-sourced breakfast that has to be eaten to be believed: fresh cut figs, strawberries and apricots, eggs any way you want, fresh-baked bread (and one morning an apple pie), natural honey dripping from a honeycomb, cheeses, home-made jams and preserves...

The rooms. Carved out of cave rock, decorated by an interior designer, simple, but containing everything you might need during your stay, including water, a hair dryer, toiletries, and paperback novels that other travellers have left behind. The beds. Firm yet soft, clean and welcoming. A courtyard with tables and chairs where you can have tea and play with two sweet dogs who are very friendly. If you want to go on a balloon ride, explore the winery, or just sit still and watch the sunset, everything will be arranged for you at Serinn House, and when it's time for you to go back home, you'll wonder if it was real or all just a beautiful dream.

Room Tip: Any room is equally good.

Serinn House was everything that 183 excellent Tripadvisor reviews promised. A little dissapointment that we would not be meeting Eren, was quickly dispelled by the charm and attention of Cem.  He looked after every detail and as expected the breakfasts were amazing and well prepared by his team.  Not knowing what to expect we felt that an adequate description of Capadoccia is that it is similar to Tuscany in appeal with the added value of it's remarkable archaeological assets and unique fairy chimneys.  Eating at Ziggy's in Urgup on Cem's recommendation was a real treat with an eventually compliant chef revealing the recipe for his mouthwatering lamb liver dish.  Would not book anywhere other than Serinn given another opportunity.  Great design, very comfortable and a welcome call from Eren even though she was in Istanbul was much appreciated.
Stayed for 2 nights in April 2013. Sophisticated design interior and quality breakfast on the terace were as excellent as commented on the various travel sites. But what also stood out was its size with only 6 rooms and hospitality of Eren and Cem. I got little sick but thanks to their warm care, I could recover. The location has nothing to do with bustling noises of Goreme town and is rather quiet and relaxed, little away from the town center of Urgup. Eren helps choose good balloon and tour operators from bunch of good and not good ones. The taxi driver for half a day sightseeing she arranged for me was very kind and I enjoyed the great places and the sunset view point without any time pressure or stress. I highly recommend Serinn House to single or small group travellers, those who prefer quiet relaxed stay as well as those who seek quality advice about what to do and where to go in Cappadocia.

Wife and I stayed at Hotel Serinn for two nights during our stay in Cappadocia. We could not have asked for more from this wonderful boutique hotel. Staying in a "cave hotel" is definitely a unique experience, but that alone is not what distinguishes Serinn from the numerous other cave hotels situated in the region. What distinguishes Serinn is the incredibly caring ownership/staff- you truly feel like you are staying at a friend's house (admittedly a very beautiful house) rather than a hotel. From the tasty breakfasts to the tea/snacks on the terrace post-touring to arranging dinner reservations to the rides into town, Eren and her staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. One great example was that upon learning that my wife and I had to leave very early for our flight In addition, the fact that the hotel only has 5 rooms adds to the family-like feel. Setting is also pristine- with beautiful views from the terrace and a short walk/cab ride into city center of Urgup (and only 5 min from Ziggys, which is probabl the best restaurant in the area). Would definitely stay here again- a real gem.

We were here 4 nights and loved the space -- unique cave experience, immaculate, awesome breakfast, and amazing hosts -- from helping with laundry to providing unlimited (free) bottled water for our thirsty group, to worrying over whether we got back in time for dinner reservations (that Eren made for us) and providing great referrals (she helped us find homey/simple food and an awesome silver jewelry -- these guys made our stay in Cappadocia comfortable and smooth! I would highly recommend this place and would stay here again.

One may not think of diamonds while driving to Urgup. But Eren and her staff are precious gems. If you're looking for an intimate, boutique hotel with a big heart--five stars is not enough for this wonderful home carved into the mountain. We had only two days in Urgup and week's worth of sights to see. Eren quickly became our travel agent, hostess, concierge, trip advisor and friend. She happily made phone calls and arrangements without additional fees. She bartered for us when necessary, and ultimately saved us time and money. The rooms are contemporary with a minimalist approach. Breakfasts are generous and fresh. Location is peaceful--a 10 min. walk from town--and a stone's throw away from great restaurants and a fabulous hamam. It's sophisticated, romantic, and we'll go back again.

Room Tip: Book ahead...she only has five guest rooms and she fills up fast!

I can't say enough good things about this place. First off, the design is impeccable. It's a perfect mix of incorporating modern design but keeping the integrity of a cave hotel. The owner Erin is so nice and helpful. I got engaged in Cappadocia and when I came back to the hotel she had flowers and a bottle of champagne waiting for us! They even will drive you to local restaurants and pick you up for free. Breakfast is fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place. It's one of the best hotels I've ever been too.

Room Tip: Try to stay in a room upstairs. The view and breeze from the windows are incredible.
