“Great stay”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Wife and I stayed at Hotel Serinn for two nights during our stay in Cappadocia. We could not have asked for more from this wonderful boutique hotel. Staying in a "cave hotel" is definitely a unique experience, but that alone is not what distinguishes Serinn from the numerous other cave hotels situated in the region. What distinguishes Serinn is the incredibly caring ownership/staff- you truly feel like you are staying at a friend's house (admittedly a very beautiful house) rather than a hotel. From the tasty breakfasts to the tea/snacks on the terrace post-touring to arranging dinner reservations to the rides into town, Eren and her staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. One great example was that upon learning that my wife and I had to leave very early for our flight In addition, the fact that the hotel only has 5 rooms adds to the family-like feel. Setting is also pristine- with beautiful views from the terrace and a short walk/cab ride into city center of Urgup (and only 5 min from Ziggys, which is probabl the best restaurant in the area). Would definitely stay here again- a real gem.

We were here 4 nights and loved the space -- unique cave experience, immaculate, awesome breakfast, and amazing hosts -- from helping with laundry to providing unlimited (free) bottled water for our thirsty group, to worrying over whether we got back in time for dinner reservations (that Eren made for us) and providing great referrals (she helped us find homey/simple food and an awesome silver jewelry -- these guys made our stay in Cappadocia comfortable and smooth! I would highly recommend this place and would stay here again.

One may not think of diamonds while driving to Urgup. But Eren and her staff are precious gems. If you're looking for an intimate, boutique hotel with a big heart--five stars is not enough for this wonderful home carved into the mountain. We had only two days in Urgup and week's worth of sights to see. Eren quickly became our travel agent, hostess, concierge, trip advisor and friend. She happily made phone calls and arrangements without additional fees. She bartered for us when necessary, and ultimately saved us time and money. The rooms are contemporary with a minimalist approach. Breakfasts are generous and fresh. Location is peaceful--a 10 min. walk from town--and a stone's throw away from great restaurants and a fabulous hamam. It's sophisticated, romantic, and we'll go back again.

Room Tip: Book ahead...she only has five guest rooms and she fills up fast!

I can't say enough good things about this place. First off, the design is impeccable. It's a perfect mix of incorporating modern design but keeping the integrity of a cave hotel. The owner Erin is so nice and helpful. I got engaged in Cappadocia and when I came back to the hotel she had flowers and a bottle of champagne waiting for us! They even will drive you to local restaurants and pick you up for free. Breakfast is fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place. It's one of the best hotels I've ever been too.

Room Tip: Try to stay in a room upstairs. The view and breeze from the windows are incredible.

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean, charming and unique. The breakfast is beyond amazing. It included fresh squeezed orange juice, pancakes, cheese, olives, yogurt, bread, apricots, fresh strawberries and more. Seriously amazing. Erin and her staff are so friendly and helpful. Se booked our hot air balloon flight, our bus tickets to fethiye when we left and even upgraded our room when a larger one became available for no extra charge. We arrived late one night and instead of having to find dinner in town, they made us delicious lentil soup and cheese sandwiches at no charge. We loved our stay at this hotel.

The Serinn house has been a highlight of our trip. Eren the owner has been so helpful in booking tours and taking the hot air balloon flight. After our first night she upgraded our room because she had a better one available. She helped us book an overnight bus trip to Fethiye and offered to drive us to the bus station. The breakfast was the best one we have had on this trip. I can't say enough good things.

My wife and I planned a trip to Turkey for our 10th wedding anniversary, and to our great benefit, my wife became aware of Serinn House during our planning. It is a wonderful, cozy, and well-located place to stay, but even more than that, Erin was a fantastic help even before we got there, sending recommendations and useful travel blogs of the area to my wife, answering questions, and really helping us plan our time in Cappadocia. She was warm and welcoming in person, and her partner, Jim, made us feel constantly at home (plus fed us at each opportunity, so it's lucky that we spent nearly every day hiking). The location is close enough to the center of town to walk to dinner easily, but far enough away to be quiet (and since it's up the hill, it has wonderful views). I hope to go back in the not-too-distant future, and we'll definitely stay at Serinn House again.
