We enjoyed 3 nights at the Cappadocia Palace in Urgup in a cool, comfortable cave room adjoining a sunlit wifi courtyard. Turkish breakfast in an arched former stable got us off to a great start each day. I loved the location--a 10 minute walk from downtown, the bus station, restaurants, the grocery, the sweet little hamam. Despite being so conveniently located, the hotel is very private and on a small side street where local children and pets play. We have never had more attentive and helpful staff.

Room Tip: A room right off the courtyard is lovely.

Given that Capadoccia is on the top of many tourist's lists, it is important to find a hotel that offers respite from crowds and tour itineraries. Capadoccia Palace did just that - starting with Mustafa's willingness to transport two weary travellers from Goreme free of charge.
It just kept getting better - it was clear that the hotel staff truly cared about the quality of your experience in Capadoccia. The room was comfortable, and both courtyard and breakfast room quietly welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to all travellers; it delivers!

We stayed one night in Cappadocia and managed to see the Goreme open air museum (15TL), hit the trails on ATV for an hour (35 TL), see an underground city (15TL), and saw the Turkish Nights dinner show (35 TL.) The only disappointment we encountered was not receiving dinner at the Turkish night show after a long day out in the sun. Apparently, the was some confusion between the Palace hotel, who made the reservations for us and the Bezirhane restaurant who thought we purchased the non-dinner show. According to the hotel manager (Mustafa, who was welcoming and great), the shuttle driver who took us to the show should have stayed with us at the restaurant to help with situations as this. In the end Mustafa refunded us a portion of the money.....show cost 70TL.

We arrived at about 6.30 on a chilly morning in may after a LONG overnight bus trip. Yusuf immediately made us feel at home and checked us in without any fuss or delay. As we were very tired, he showed us to our room and suggested that we might like breakfast before heading for a few hours sleep. We were dlighted to discover that our room was heated and was cozily warm for us. The room was very clean, comfortable and had lots of atmosphere - we loved it. The bed was kingsize I think. Breakfast was buffet style and the food was varied and fresh, served in a delightful room resemnling a cave.
The staff were extremely friendly and always ready to help and to have a joke with us. There was free Internet. The hotel is only about 2 minutes walk to the centre of town where there are plenty of shops, restaurants etc
We really enjoyed our stay in this very friendly and comfortable hotel in Urgup.

The hotel is built into what used to be a Monastery, in a cave. We got a room on the 2nd floor, quaint and clean. The sink in the toilet was a bit of an issue, as the brackets were falling off due to the breaking down of the sandstone walls after drilling holes in it, but it didn't create any problems for us. The hote is in the heart of Urgup, the biggest town in Cappadocia, and is central to all sorts of local and tourist shops and restaurants. There is a huge number of restaurants and eateries in the area, you really dont have to venture out very far to get some good grub.

The hotel manager, Mustafa is overwhelmingly conscientious and helpful, a very charming, handsome figure that made our entire stay wonderful. The rest of the hotel staff are also extremely helpful and friendly, exuding a warmth that is very genuine. Cappadocia Palace definitely provided the best service amongst all the accommodation we stayed at in Turkey, providing service that is over and beyond what is expected of them.

We thought this was going to be a budget hotel, but discovered it was very comfortable and with plenty of atmosphere.
The staff were tops and Mustafa was a delight - really friendly with ready laugh, he helped make our stay there really enjoyable and fun. He also followed up on any question we had, he genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay.
