My partner and I visited Cappadocia and decided to stay at Kayakapi as the photos were impressive and the cost not unreasonable for our stay. We were totally delighted with our choice from the start! Upon arrival, reception informed us we had been given a free room upgrade and the room was beautiful. The room must have been a deluxe rather than standard and was very spacious with lounge, bedroom and en-suite bathroom. The hotel is only a year old so everything was spotlessly clean and modern. The restoration throughout the grounds was so in keeping with the natural caves, it was really amazing. The pool area was our fave spot during the day when not in town and was very relaxing and had stunning views.
The buffet breakfast had so much selection it was a struggle to get through..! By the time we were leaving, the hotel was almost full, yet there are not such a large number of rooms so the hotel felt very quiet and comfortable. Certainly never over-crowded. The staff were all very attentive and accommodating and I would definitely stay again!

Dear Kayakapi Guest;

First of all thank you very much for your 5* review about Kayakapi Premium Caves - Cappadocia on TA.

We are glad that you enjoyed the services of our hotel including our Staff, our Pool Area, your room and the food. Comments like yours gives us great ambition to serve our guests better in the future.

Just a small note; you have written that the Pool Suites may be humid. It is true, but just a little bit more humid in comparison with our Non-Pool Suite. We have had hundreds of guests and no big complaints. We even had repeat guests for these suits :)

Thanks again and please accept our Greetings from Ürgüp / Cappadocia to Canada.

Excellent and awesome location and architecture. Hospitality is also awesome. Special thanks to Royal Balloons and Suan the guide of Royal Balloons. Best for people who would like to walk and climb. Suggest they have airport pickups to excel.

Room Tip: Any room is the best. We took the suite.

The rooms were fantastic and the service was all pretty good. The spa had just opened which looked beautiful. The construction of this resort is a partnership between World Heritage Unesco and a local hotelier to maintain the history of the cave dwellings - a project well worth supporting!

I have traveled around the world and this is a very unique hotel. It is located on a hill with a view of the valley below. It is actually built into the hillside incorporating some of the original cave dwellings here. Be warned that if you have any mobility problems or bad knees this is not an ideal hotel; because it is built on the hillside, getting around involves walking up and down a few levels. The staff were amazing; always helpful, always available and just plain nice. Our Turkish is non existent but the staff speak English well enough there was never a problem. It is clean and well maintained with gorgeous landscaping. The long term plan is to expand the size of the hotel. We had an opportunity to talk to the contractor and were even more impressed by what they have built, given the challenges of the location and the need to protect the environment. The breakfast buffet offers a huge number of selections of really good food. I second everything that reviewers Luckyjade and Shahana S report. There is a shuttle van that will take you to town without charge. There are plenty of taxis in town to take you back to the hotel. We had one of the suites which comes with a pool inside. It was great to go into the pool after a hot day to cool down and relax. The room can however smell like chlorine because of the pool and we found the water pump noisy at night. But the staff was great about turning off the pump at night and if we kept the door and windows open for a while the chlorine smell disappeared. I was impressed that they come and check the quality of the water every day to make sure it is clean.

Room Tip: We stayed in Suite 119, which is very large and has a pool; there were rooms higher up, but we had...

My husband and I stayed here two nights in July 2014 and wish we had planned for more time. We arrived pretty late in the evening (10pm) and yet we received the same warm welcome as I would have expected only during regular business hours. Mert, the concierge, was incredible. He told us the story of the property and made us feel like we were home in the room. We had one of the standard cave rooms, and there was nothing standard about it! It was huge, the bathroom was great (with a huge tub), and there even was a welcome gift of Turkish delight (which my husband polished off in a day). They had all the amenities you could ask for in a luxury hotel - a pool with amazing views and soft lounge chairs, gym and spa (but you'll likely be doing so much hiking in Cappadocia that a gym is unnecessary), and a great buffet breakfast with omelets made to order. We requested late check out - which was not a problem, and when we left they gave us a lovely gift of coasters with our room number on it!

I would recommend this place hands-down to anyone who is staying in the Cappadocia area. Also, Urgup is much less of a touristy town as Goreme, in case you were trying to choose between the two. That means, better places to eat, which is all you should be thinking about when traveling in Turkey.

The resort is just magic. The facilities and the rooms are beautiful. Everything you could want for is provided, and the staff are genuinely seeking to serve.

We were able to organise balloon rides and a lift into the town centre easily through reception.
