“A wonderful place!”
Reviewed May 11, 2014 via mobile

This is one of the most interesting places in Cappadocia. In one museum you take an unbeliavable tour of history, culture, architecture, religion of the region and Anatolia in general. The owners are extremly nice and helpful. The building itself worth visiting. The village is beautiful and worth a short trip (6 kilometre) from Urgup. Highly reccomended!

“How people lived and created history”
Reviewed March 27, 2014

This place is like living museum and well described for the travellers. Situated within population and quite common to have crowd interested in Churches and old style of living and surviving against all odds. Place is neat and clean and charge entry fees for main entry as well as for one cave with well restored murals

“a fairy tale like experience”
Reviewed December 29, 2013

As a worldtraveller and travel writer, this breathtaking almost 200 year old magnificent museum-boutique hotel is on top of my list..countless reasons: its unique history with old inhabitants, the tranquil atmosphere of town out of nowhere, privilege of meeting its goddess like creator, artist owner Sibel Gül, feeling like home with ownership yet the one of a kind interior with utmost authenticity in all aspects...an experience of lifetime never to miss!

“fascinating museum for foreigners”
Reviewed December 17, 2013

My family and I visited this museum in July. We travel often and are very interested in seeing very local museums as well as sites of historical significance. This museum was a gem. tucked away off the beaten track, it offered a fascinating Ottoman and Turkish history through handmade dolls. I've never seen anything like it. And the hosts are very welcoming! a must see if you're in the area.
