My sister, daughter and I stayed at the Yunak for 3 nights. The hotel arranged for us to be picked up at the airport free of charge. The manager greeted us when we arrived at the hotel and offered wine, beer or soft drinks in their lounge while we checked in. He then escorted us to our room and our luggage had already been taken there. We had made plans to have dinner in the hotel dining room and asked what the fixed menu had on it and indicated 2 of us were lactose intolerant. He told us not to worry, they would take care of it. When we arrived at the dining room, the staff knew which room we were in and that they had 2 lactose intolerant guests. The meal was delicious.

The hotel also arranged for our tours which were paid directly to the tour company. We had a great guide in Selim who was informative and good humoured.

Our room was quaint, charming and clean. The bathroom was marble tiled and spacious. The hotel supplied terry cloth slippers, hair dryer and shampoos etc imported from Milan. There are only 30 rooms. It's a boutique hotel.

The staff was courtious. The view was awsome. We had 3 kittens sleeping on our patio chair overnight which was an added delight.

The hotel also arranged for transport to the airport - at an additional fee.

I would highly recommend this hotel.

Unbelievable place. Inspite the great reviews, we were still not disappointed. The place was beautiful, rooms were squeaky clean especially the bathroom. Service was good. Apo, the manager, was very helpful. And the room rates are reasonable.

A magical experience...Absolutely wonderful staff and unique, lovely accommodations. The rooms at Yunak Evleri are comfortable and filled with interesting bits of history, including the remains of dovecotes or hay bins for horses carved into the cave walls. The Amazing Abdullah, one of the hotel's managers, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was exceptional. When our tour guide could not show due to a death in the family, Abdullah stepped in and provided our group with a fantastic day filled with Turkish tea, regional sights, local culture, and impressive information. Despite a demanding schedule, he always had time for his guests...conversation, dinner reservations, fixing the internet, answering questions, running errands into town, etc, etc, etc. Absolutely impressive. Yunak Evleri is the best place to stay in Cappadocia.

Beautiful location in the historic part of Urgup with most of the rooms carved out of stone and full of character. The roof terrace restaurant provides great views over the town and beyond and was a perfect spot from which to enjoy the self-service breakfast which was laid out in a small room at one end. We did find the choice a bit limited and the service would be improved by tea and coffee being served at the table rather than always having to help oneself. That said this was a minor niggle and overall it was a very pleasant stay with very attentive staff particularly Abdullah who guided us on how to make the most of the trip including an unforgettable balloon ride at dawn.

Cappadocia blows your mind away with its stunning scenery, millenia of history and culture and the hospitality of the local people. A stay at Yunak Houses will be the summit of your holiday. Sleeping in the century old cave houses is simply an unique experience.

Staff is friendly, speaks English and is - to Turkey standards - top class. The check-in starts with a drink on the house, which sets the mood of service and friendliness you can expect during your stay. Enjoying our breakfast from the balcony looking out over Cappadocia was one of the most mesmerizing experiences during our Turkey roundtrip. The town of Urgup is very nice as well.

My husband and I stayed for just three nights at the start of our trip to Turkey. Cappadocia was definitely worth the visit, with clear nice weather, dramatic landscapes and friendly people.

Yunak's staff are unobtrusive but very helpful. The manager in particular was very knowledgeable and helpful, going out of his way to help us find a private tour, and when none seemed available, arranging personally for a very affordable car rental to be delivered to us, and for a driver to drive the same car to the airport the next morning, saving us the $100 airport transfer cost.

Urgup was a good choice for us, with restaurants in the neighborhood and the town centre some of the best food we enjoyed in all of Turkey. We ate at DIMRIT, just around the corner our first night, and really enjoyed it, also at Somine, which was also good, but a little over-rated perhaps. Shopping is good in the area too.

The room we had was MASSIVE, and good. Too big really, and didn't have a view, but it was nice, dark and the most quiet place you will ever have the joy of sleeping in.

We stayed in a deluxe suite, which was magical. The outer room was huge, and after a full day hiking, perfect for sitting around with a bottle of wine and cheese. The service was wonderful and the location couldn't be better--an easy walk to town.

Within the stone building, cozy meeting rooms provide a soothing atmosphere for lounging in the evening. Alongside a room with computer and wireless Internet connection, the music room has a wide variety of CDs you can borrow and the TV room is decked out in plush Turkish cushions with a view of the surrounding cliffs. There is a DVD room on the second floor decorated with local handmade pottery accessories, candles, and a lovely furnace.
