We loved our stay at the Esbelli Evi. We have traveled widely and stayed in many, many hotels and this is one of the finest we have ever stayed in. Every detail has been thought of, for example, there is a lap-top in every suite and there is no need to use a special code; there are complimentary snacks, fruit and beverages for guests; there are interesting books about the area in our room; the common areas are comfortable and inviting; and it goes on. The breakfasts are first rate - beautiful buffets, fresh squeezed orange juice, made to order eggs. The hotel is beautiful and the views are amazing. Not to mention the positively lovely staff - so friendly, kind and helpful. We stayed in the stone cutter's suite and it was spacious, quiet and perfect for our 3 day stay in early September. Our bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was HUGE, and the fridge well stocked with water and beverages in the kitchen. We didn't want to leave - thank you Tarik and all the other wonderful staff at the Esbelli for a very special stay.

Esbelli Evi is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are built into the rock but have all the modern amenities that you would expect from a hotel in a big city. We had a strong wifi signal, air conditioning, satellite television, and a very comfortable bed.

Every morning the staff would setup a nice breakfast spread. They also had eggs made to order. The hotel had a nice patio area with a nice view of Cappadocia where everybody would eat their breakfast. There was also free water and a bar area with wine and other alcohol (at very reasonable prices). We grabbed a bottle of white and enjoyed it on the patio area in the late afternoon.

The staff is simply amazing. They definitely take care of you. I emailed them prior to our trip and they recommended private and public tours, balloon ride (a must do!!), airport transfer, and rental car options. They ended up booking our airport transfer and rental car for one day.

The hotel is a short walk to the town. We walked into town both nights for dinner. There is a slight uphill on the way back but it came in handy after a huge meal at Ziggy's (also a nice restaurant).

Stop your Cappadocia hotel search now! Stay here and you won't be disappointed.

To match the reviews of other guests, Esbelli Evi is a remarkable hotel. The service is phenomenal, breakfast delicious, location is quiet and the hotel itself is gorgeous. We stayed only 1 night in the Volcano Suite (highly highly recommended!) Wish we had more time to stay longer. I would love to come back.

Room Tip: suites are the way to go, worth every penny

A truly excellent experience all the conveniences, wifi, satellite, great breakfast with excellent terrace views of the valley. Spacious rooms hewn out of the bedrock but fully modernized. Sleep was generally good with comfortable beds, though there was no escaping the haunting sound of the call to prayers early morning. The staff were always helpful offering great suggestions for dinning and touring. I would not hesitate to recommend this place and would stay again if back in Cappadocia.

If you like striking understated stone architecture, relaxed comfort and an attentive staff - you might like to consider staying at Esbelli Evi.

This is our second trip to Turkey. The first adventure was in 2010 at about mid-October. We had a great time and wanted the cooler weather for walking around the magical city of Istanbul.

Coming a month plus earlier this go around has enhanced the experience of travleing this incredible country. We flew SFO - Fankfurt - Istanbul and picked up a domestic flight to Kaysiri to experience the terrain and culture of Capadoccia. It was a long day - but worth it. We brought our Kindles and spent the money (15Euro) to enjoy our wait at the WINGS lounge on the second floor above the check-in area of the domestic terminal. They had WiFi and healthy food to pass the time before we pick up the last leg of our journey to Kayseri.

The staff at the Esbelli arrangde for a comfortable transfer to the hotel. Note: if you check your bags through to Kayseri - walk over to the check-in area for International flights. Give them your luggage tracking information. They will arrange to have the bags delivered to the domestic terminal area. It took about 15-20 minutes (and we were exhausted) but the Turkish Air agents finally assemble our groups' bags and we were on our way to the Esbelli.

Yazmin and her crew greeted our late arrival. They were gracious and efficient in showing us to our room. Timeless, unique and comfortable are the three adjectives that come immediately to mind. We took the next day "off". We slept in. Enjoyed a beautiful breakfast of fresh EVERYTHING - eggs, fruits, breads, pastries, coffee, tea.

The hotel is situated not far from the center of town. It was an easy walk to town and easy to get a taxi back up the mountain. Yazmin arranged reservations for our dinners and our hot air balloon ride with a boutique outfit called Butterfly Balloons on the second day of our stay. Butterfly prefers to work with smaller hotels and groups of visitors. Hands down - the hot air ballon experience with Captain Mike (British pilot) was one of the best experiences I have ever had. We opted for the longer ride and at the end celebrate with champagne and pastries. We returned to the Esbelli just in time for their breakfast treats.

I wish we had booked another full day to enjoy the calm surroundings of the Esbelli and of the spectacular views that came with the location.

Until next time!

Jeff

Room Tip: We spoiled ourselves and enjoyed the FANTASY CAVE.

I can't say enough about this hotel and this town. The staff here are so hospitable and the service is wonderful. The rooms are cozy and ancient and modern all at the same time. Each room has a stocked refrigerator, safe, laptop with internet access and gorgeous marble bath. There is lots of comfy outdoor seating. And breakfast is so delicious. I highly recommend this hotel. Oh and use the staff to book your rides, excursions and tours. We loved all of their choices, especially Butterfly Balloons who we think only works with certain hotels.

Room Tip: Ask for an inside room to avoid town noise in the morning.

One of the best places we have ever stayed at! Everything was excellent from the unique rooms, the delicious breakfast on the breathtaking terrace and Tariq and Yasmin make your stay unforgettable. They are so helpful and friendly and will help you plan your stay depending on your time budget and what you want to see. Town of urgup is a short 10minute walk; steep walk back but can take a taxi back for $3. Highly recommend staying here if visiting cappadocia.
