We stayed at Esbelli for 4 nights in the fantasy cave suite which was perfect for us with two kids. It's a whimsical place, full of charm, very comfortable and clean.
The host and owner is on site most of the time and available to answer any questions. Of all the places we've ever stayed at, the service was by far the best and warmest. You're treated like visiting friends rather than hotel guests. The whole staff gathers to greet you on arrival and departure. They truly offer 'service with a smile.'
Even if you get here without any activities organized, Suha will chalk out everything for you very clearly- with his maps, colored markers and detailed info on various sites :)
He even gave us a ride to the Rose valley where we started our hike.
They encourage a family atmosphere with a communal living room which has a piano, lots of books, board games etc to hang out in at the end of the day.
Only problem is, you will not want to leave and after staying here I seriously doubt if any future hotels will match up!
A big thank you to Suha, Yasemin and all the staff for a stay we will remember very fondly!

This place was perfect for us. We stayed here in april 2013 for 7 nights in the "Family Cave suite". Our kids, 5 and 8 years old, loved it (and so did we). We even had a private courtyard for them to play in. Breakfast was perfect (fresh orange juice, strawberries and eggs to order) and when the weather allowed it was served out on the terrace with a beautiful view over Ürgüp. We also used the piano daily in the music room. But most of all it is the feeling of welcome, of friendliness and of home that makes this place unique. We were all sad to leave.

We had three nights at Esbelli Evi and loved, loved it there. From the moment you walk through the door, you feel genuinely welcomed. It's relaxed, comfortable and really set up with the needs of visitors in mind.
It's not slap bang in the centre of town, but is just a 5-10 minute walk down the hill - the location is perfect, very quiet.
Four of us (two adults, two children), we had two rooms. We booked late and there was no suite available - but they were absolutely fine - enormous, actually. One had a little kitchenette.
The breakfast was enormous and delicious - endless choice of eggs - I asked for something off the menu - cibir, which I'd had on an earlier trip to Turkey: it's poached eggs with yoghurt. Absolutely delicious.
The staff are a mine of information and only too happy to give advice.
There are washing machines - you can do your own wash or leave it for the staff, who will hang it out, fold it up and put it back in your room.
Down the road, the restaurant Ziggy's (I think there may be some link between the businesses) was wonderful. We also ate at the Urgup Pide place behind the bus station which was far more simple, but also excellent.

We stayed four nights. Rooms are carved into the mountain (hotels are taking over the millenia old "carved rock" houses and bundling them into hotels). Wood floors, heat and ac, running water, modern baths, great beds, lovely view from the terrace. We needed three rooms and endued up with two adjoining ":suites" each with it's own sitting room, plus three private sitting areas outside - in additon to the public terraces where you can have breakfast. Breakfast is traditional Turkish with fresh cucumber, tomatoes, olives, bread, cheeses, youghurt, fruit, eggs to order, juices, coffee and tea. Good service (no food other than breakfast, drinks and snacks though). Easy walk to downtown Urgup and Izzy's restaurant, a must go (need reservations).

We have three adult children ages 18-26 and they are not easy to impress. This did it!

We stayed for 3 very memorable nights during our honeymoon in September. From the minute we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The hosts provided a wonderful bottle of wine to celebrate our special occasion. We enjoyed it immensely that first night on our private terrace overlooking the beautiful and calm hotel and surroundings. The hotel atmosphere was amazing combination of old world and modern luxuries. It surely is like no place else we ever stayed. From features including onsite washer/dryer literally built into the rock to the honor system fully stocked bar, where we toasted with the host our first drink of "lion's milk" (Raki and water). Breakfast was great, and my husband's favorite breakfast of our entire 2 weeks in Turkey; omelets, fresh fruit, jams, breads, cheeses, etc - hard to believe it was included. The staff attention to detail and warmth to its clientele was unparalleled.

We stayed here in July 2012 and had a wonderfully, relaxing time! Unfortunately we didn't stay here too long, only 2 nights, and we switched rooms both nights. It would have been nice to stay here longer. The breakfast area is so wonderful, beautiful views of the landscape, relaxing and delicious! Our host was very nice and helpful in planning our hikes and balloon ride. We had a wonderful time in Cappadocia and will definitely be back soon!

Both rooms we stayed in were just great, very large and cozy!
Loved it here!

We stayed there for 3 nights, which were absolutely amazing. At the restaurant you may enjoy a superb glass of wine or two, breakfast offers you delicious turkish bread with honey, fruits and what else you wish. The rooms are cozy caves, picked out of the stonewall. From the terrace you have an astonishing and breathtaking view over Cappadocia.
An absolutely must-see!!
