“terrible if you have to stay there”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2014

A terribel place: the former 4-star hotel from the 1970s is not really renovated. Hot water and heating was not working, swimming pool is closed because not longer in use (green fluid inside), garden in a terrible condition, spa and hamam closed, one Restaurant closed the other one in bad condition and overcrowded. Hope you don't have to stay there during a group tour. - We changed the place after one night (we should stay theer for 3 nights on our group tour) to a very nice cave hotel in a nighbour village and have been so happy to escape from this nightmare.

Room Tip: Don't book this place and change if you have to stay there in the group tour!!!

This is a disgraceful hotel the rooms were scruffy, shower not giving hot water, doors to very small bathroom not closing properly when this was reported to staff they showed no interest. I would never stay there again or recommend.

Room Tip: The rooms were all scruffy.

More like four turbans... The night reception staff were surly, totally unhelpful and told different guests different things. We were told that they did not accept credit cards even though there was a machine quite clearly on display behind the desk AND another guest was seen to be paying by card. Also, two guests were told that an evening trip we were going on had been cancelled and they were to stay in the hotel. The evening trip had not been cancelled. Day staff were OK, but out of season none of the hotels are really geared up for guests. They did not have any money available to do any currency exchanges and would not accept even there own Turkish currency. All they wanted was euros and then only notes - again especially the evening staff! The food was fine, very tasty with some variety, although every where we went there was chicken on the menu. Again as we were on an organized trip we were only allowed to sit within the allocated tables, so it was a bit squashed. This was extremely annoying as the rest of the restaurant was totally empty. Anyone with any form of mobility problems would find this hotel extremely difficult to get around. The paths between each of the two-storey chalet blocks were cobbled and very uneven. There are ramps from the chalet areas down to the main reception/bar/restaurant area but if you had been allocated a top floor in the chalet blocks there were only stairs. The rooms themselves were very outdated, the shower was dangerously low for anyone over 5ft 6" as they had been built into a recess in the floor which made the bar for the doors ridiculously low, the beds squeaked and were very hard, the sockets were hanging off the walls or not working at all, BBC World news had no sound, the heating was on full-blast and the radiators being of the old fashioned iron type that were in schools in the 1920's onwards - I could just keep going here. The control valves in the main bedroom area were almost inaccessible as the radiators had been in encased in large wooden covers. To reach the valve you had to get down flat on the floor to reach underneath. You could keep the windows open on the ground floor because the local stray cats kept trying to get it. Then of course there were the dogs, nice and friendly until a roaming female dog (can't use the other word as the review keeps telling me I am using profanity) on heat arrived; then the fireworks started and there dog excrement outside our room. I am glad it wasn't summer as this would have stunk. We were there for three of our 7 nights stay in Turkey, we couldn't wait to leave. I have never experienced anywhere where it was so difficult to pay a bar bill, each time we tried it was pay tomorrow, pay after 10pm... Boy, were we glad to leave. I have never put a review on on website for hotels before as I have never come across one like this. I will end on a positive note though, you can't fault its location.

I arrived with a touring holiday and stayed 3 nights to sight see in the area. The reception building was modern and clean but the rooms were chalet style I the grounds. The rooms had hard single beds. No air conditioning and we're extremely dark the lighting was very poor.reception we're not good at understanding English but when I enquirer if a fan was available, as the dark rooms were overpoweringly hot, the reply was that they didn't have fans.
The wet room had slippery floor and the shower was poor with a leaking hose and terrible flow of water, although there was enough hot water. Many of our tour experienced mosquito bites at this venue and the outside pathways were uneven and not maintained. A lady in the next chalet fell one morning and damaged her clothing as well as having some nasty cuts and grazes.
The food was plentiful although it was lacking in variety. Deserts on the buffet were similar each evening. Seating was in designated areas as many coach holidays use the hotel. I would not use this hotel ever again. Thankfully I took a 4 gang electric adapter as there were no sockets available and as the t v. Didn't work , my phone camera and trusty kettle were plugged in via that socket. I never ventured near the pool as the whole place looked unclean.

It was an avarage holiday village established in Urgup Town of Cappadocia Region. It was ideally match for our budget, however it was not as quite we expected it. The T.V. was working but with unclear vision, and the furniture were not very new either.

Except that, the location was nice, and the comfort of being staying in as separated villas was exclusively nice

This hotel was probably really nice some years ago but without any rehab since the '80s. Beds are single and very unconfortable. Frequented by lot of turist groups and not so calm. The swimming pool was closed even with temperatures of 30 degrees and the smell of the hammam was not attractive at all! The breakfast buffet is not so bad, with a lot of salty and sweet choices.
Not a romantic place.

We were on a trip by the german company rds travel, and this was the worst hotel where we had to stay 3 nights. It boasts 4 stars but for modern turkish standards it would hardly get 2 stars... The accomodation corresponds to that of a youth hostel. Seperate fixed bunk beds, shower inundating the small bathroom, many of our fellow travelers had no hot water or heating, when nights were really cold. The hotel needs complete overhall, tiles are loose, gardens non attented and pool dirty and filled with a thick darkgreen fluid. Meals of low standard quality, seating in the restaurant only in reserved spots for groups. Overbooking so you get chased from the tables.
We had no idea of the price of the half-board stay, but we guess only backpacktravelers and very young travelers would be contented with this sort of accomodation.
We totally blame RDS that misleads his costumers.
