Our stay at this unique but totally cozy hotel was the highlight of our trip to Cappadocia. We were greeted with such warmth and even though we came during a record low temperature winter, we loved our pigeon room room - so named because of the pigeon nooks in the walls where in centuries past, pigeons were kept. Our room was at the top of the hotel but they carried our bags up and down for us. This unique room had hardwood floors covered in Turkish carpets, a cozy bed covered in warm quilts, a day bed for extra guests a chair and a dresser. We had a large corner whirlpool tub and heated towel bar in our spacious bathroom. A traditional and delightful delicious breakfast was served just across from our room in the morning before we departed for our day tour of the region.
We were treated with much kindness by Ibrahim Yilmaz who had also arranged our incredible ten day tour of Turkey with Yuki Tours. He and his lovely family made us feel so at home. He did a wonderful job of making sure we were expertly guided around Turkey. I highly recommend his tour company if you wish to visit Turkey.
We only stayed one night in our lovely pigeon room, but we would love to return and spend more time exploring the town and area again. We would definitely stay at the same hotel.More
