Just go there it is a must see . The towns area sight to see and the people so kind and friendly. The hot air balloons are stunning .
Use a good travel agent in Istanbul to book ahead as hot air balloon book out and they arrange easy transfers . Stay in Urgup or Goreme perfect locations The underground cave city is a ust do as is the open air museum .

“Fairy Tale Land”
Reviewed August 8, 2014

Went on 3 day organised trip from Side calling in at Konya,Goreme and numerous other places of interest. The church/mosque in the rocks is a must to see(makes you think about people and religion then and now.The rock formations, camel, madonna and child and others along with the cave dwellings are a sight to behold.Get on the hillside overlooking Goreme at dusk, when the lights are just coming on and think of the musical film Brigadoon. To much of interest on terra firma to fit in a balloon ride, would have needed to be there a week to fit it all in.Deffinitely a place worth visiting but go with an open mind and think, some attractions not for the faint hearted.

“Cappadocia August 2012”
Reviewed August 4, 2014

Stayed in a cave room, hotel with a pool, the food was brilliant. The trip to the underground city was amazing, even tho I was left at the 5th level, couldnt manage a million stairs to the bottom ! I had my torch and explored alone, weird and interesting .. Took the trips to see the cave dwellings above ground, great days out

“A must-see...”
Reviewed July 28, 2014

An organised tour with a guide is the way to see Cappadocia. There are masses of caves and dwellings, churches carved in the rocks and the Open-air Museum at Goreme is excellent. Try to go on a balloon ride - quite spectacular and awe-inspiring.
