Yesterday evening we wandered through the small very nice Capadoccian city and wanted to get to the Mountain view. We were a bit lost in the streets. In our way up the pave street we met Ismail - and he "got us"right at the spot. This man is a "heart in the hand" type of guy. He was down the street for meeting with his family (ramadan) but he cancelled it, showed us his restaurant (that was round the corner we stood). We agreed on the menu and he showed us the way to the top so we can savely return for a dinner. We did and it was great! The food was very traditional - soup, eggplant filled with chicken, mushrooms and vegetables, then kofte with rice and potatoes and lots of meze small dishes to combine and spice up food. Marvellous! Well, if you want to get another kebab like anywhere in the world, than go to the center and you can choose from plenty of choices. BUT if you want to try the real Cappadocian food, go and meet Ismarl at his small Panorama.
