This hotel, previously the Club Med, is a good choice. You have the choice in Capadocia between Goreme, with many small cave hotels as the center of Capadocia, Urgup with a few more upscale hotels, and Uchisar, a bit away from the crowd and still close to everything. We had chosen this city. Given it's size, the hotel caters mainly to bigger (asian) groups but without the usual hassle and overkill - never to busy or to noisy. The views are wonderfull (pigeon valley, uchisar castle), food (we were half board) was sufficiently varied and with a large choice to keep it pleasant during 3 days. Hamman and sauna are free, as is the good wifi in rooms and public area. All in all a good choice with friendly staff. Everything is clean and well maintained.

The town of Uchisar is the most scenic in Cappadoccia, with a great natural castle to explore and amazing views of the Pigeon Valley -- a great place to hike. I was concerned about the hotel, because the price seemed very low. My family of 4 arrived at 11pm after a late flight. The kids were hungry and the kitchen made a delicious bowl of pasta for 10TL or $5. The entire hotel -- rooms, bathrooms, pools, grounds, restaurant -- was immaculate. Huge breakfast buffet was delicious. Staff could not have been more friendly and one person with good English was available at all times. They made ballooning reservations, rented us a car and got us a great tour guide. The outdoor pool seemed to be filled with particularly clean and fresh water that my kids even commented on -- also, the immaculate grounds were excellent for hide and seek! The indoor pool was great and clean with nice staff. There are a number of high end restaurants within walking distance and a great Pizza place on the corner. The Hotel offers amazing views and good, free wireless. There are a couple of nice hotels in Cappadocia that offer rooms for 2-3 times the cost of Kaya -- the only advantage I noticed was that the rooms were a bit more luxurious. The rooms at Kaya are a bit small, but for a family trip, two rooms here gives you access to all the charms and comfort you'll need!

Room Tip: The 3rd floor is the top floor and it is also the lobby floor. Try to get a room at the far end #33...

I actually booked this hotel for all the wrong reasons: we wanted a pool where to relax after all the day running and the heat. Turns out I didn't factor in that Cappadocia is way colder than Istanbul, and that the pool water was actually freezing cold. So aside from a pride dip in the pool (that lasted all 30 sec), we didn't quite enjoy that aspect of the hotel.
Tuned out the rest compensated. First the hospitality. Especially from the front desk. Then from the rest of the personnel. Second, the facility is really first class. I thought it would have a bit of a Tourist Tour feel. But despite its size (medium more than big, btw), it has a certain charm not unlike some smaller boutique hotels I tried. We had the room 343 which has an AMAZING view of Uchisar and its fortress. I suspect it's the best view of all the room: highest floor, more to the side, all the way at the end of the corridor (therefore very quiet). The rooms are on the medium to small size but it worked out quite fine for our 4 day saty. The design of the hotel itself is a good mix of typical (castle like), but with somehow a touch of modernity.
And to top it all it is great value as well.
Yes, there are avenues for improvement. The restaurant actually served better than expected food, and yes, it did cater to some tour groups that were stopping there at lunch (and some for dinner). Not being a fan of the Buffet formula I found prices to be on the high side (compared with great options such as Sira, that come up to pretty much the same if not cheaper). And some options like french Orange Juice being charged 10 TL a glass (and it's not that good too...) misses completely the mark. But in general the restaurant (and its staff) is a decent choice.
it is well located at the entrance of the town, and the road passing by was never a problem (all the windows overlook the valley, not the road).
Other details: Internet was somewhat patchy but that's OK, it wasn't too bad. They provided a fruit basket as a welcome gift, which I thought was a nice touch. We had to ask once that the room services steps it up as it was past 3Pm and our room wasn't done. Beds were quite hard but we sleep well, surprisingly.
So yes, still area for improvement but a recommended option in Cappadocia, if you decide to stay in Uchisar, which by the way has more of a typical small town feel than the other two, but by ricochet: less action going on
I always thought I would go with a "Cave" concept in Cappadocia but seriously if I had to do it all over again I would make the same choice. For different reasons than originally (pool).

Room Tip: Rooms at the end of the hallway have a better view of Uchisar fortress (facing it as well as the val...

The hotel is perfectly sited with a 30 mile view of Cappadocia framed by a valley with typical cave excavations in front of the hotel and the town with its castle cut into a hill on the other side. The facility is absolutely first class with a restaurant buffet that is unequaled. The spa could put Vegas to shame. The grounds and pool are beautiful. Staff is outstanding. And the price is way below what it should be!

Room Tip: The higher the better for the view, but all rooms are spectacular.

The hotel was really like finding a little oasis or stumbling upon a paradise for us. Just coming from busy trafficky hot Istanbul to this magnificent fairy tale like place and getting to our gorgeous hotel, situated right over the ravine with spectacular views all around was truly a wonderful experience. The room was great, clean, cozy with an amzing view! The staff was helpful and polite. The pool was refreshing and clean and the service was fast. The hammam was also great and a total must while staying there! We travel a lot and this was the best of the hotels that we stayed in a while! Other hotels on that trip in Istanbul were nearly not as great and we were missing Kaya hotel the moment we got back to Istanbul! I definitely recommend it!

I had contacted the hotel before I went there and Front Office Manager Mr. Onder Cinkil was really helpful to put together a schedule for my stay. He arranged all the tours. We also went out with our car and Mr. Cinkil provided information: what to see, where to go and where to eat.
Restaurant Staff was wonderful. I have celiac diseases and they were really helpful what to eat and what not to. I enjoyed the Turkish Bath and sauna. Our room was cleaned everyday. They left fresh fruits for us everyday in our room. Hotel location is awesome. Our room was facing Pigeon Valley and garden and if you are early bird you can get up watch baloon rides from your balcony. I loved the hotel and city. Thank you to all of the staff who help our stay enjoyable. I will recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: you can call and talk to them about the room selection. Manager is really helpful. I believe all the...
