I stayed two nights in the hotel and everything was perfect. The design and decor of my room was so relaxing and keeping in line with a boutique cave hotel. Mini bar prices are actually quite good when I compare them to other hotels that I have stayed in. The heated towel rails are marvellous as well.

Breakfast is extensive and I wish I had tried the evening meals judging from the comments below. The weather was a bit cold so I ate indoors in the restaurant but during the summer time, would love to take advantage of the garden and its amazing views over Pigeon valley.

Location wise - The hotel is in an excellent position and very central. It was also just a ten minute walk to the castle of Uchsiar. Everything can be arranged by the hotel including tours, car hire or simply information on the region.

Room Tip: Choose 102 for absolute comfort!

Aside from one strange receptionist (and per below it looks like he is no longer employed there), this place was amazing. We were tired and hungry when we arrived our first night and we quickly and warmly greeted and then promptly served a fantastic four-course meal. To top it all off we were about to eat al fresco in the beautiful courtyard. The rooms were unique, clean and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in the area.

What can I say about Capadoccia? First of all the entire region is a dreamscape, but staying in a place like Taskonaklar Hotel made the trip a beautiful experience rather than a trip or stay. This hotel is the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. This is not only due to the gorgeous views from every room But also the meticulous attention to detail. From the choice of floor, the type of mattress and the type of products offered. Usually when I stay in a hotel, I like to have a comfortable bed and a good breakfast and that is enough, but at this hotel it was indeed part of my experience. It was a dream come true. I hope to return for a longer stay to enjoy the region in spring time and to really relax in my gorgeous room. This goes beyond any expectations you may have head for a stay in a boutique hotel in Cappadocia. Stay here and you will not be sorry!
The staff is gentle and very helpful. The breakfast is delicious, fresh and local. Honestly there is not a bad thing to be said about this hotel.

Room Tip: All the rooms are gorgeous. It is heaven on earth.

This was our first trip to Cappadocia and we are glad that we chose this hotel. The buildings are beautiful, in a horseshoe surrounding a garden and with a drop-dead view over the Cappadocia area. Two disappointments: One, there were no lounge chairs to enjoy the sunshine. Two, there should be heated towel rails in the bathrooms, which are necessarily damp in the caves. (The hotel instead relies on small very thin bath towels - not satisfactory at this price.)

Our suite was incredibly spacious, like being in a Las Vegas hotel, the included breakfast was excellent, and the free wifi worked flawlessly. There are no good restaurants and shops in immediate walking distance, but we were too tired to eat at night having spent each day touring.

We did a 5 night stay in late October and stayed in the Dove Suite (room 106) which is the best situated room on the property. We enjoyed the amazing view of Pigeon Valley and the hot air balloons with sunrise early in the morning. Our room had a wonderful terrace, living room with a fireplace we lit at night, and bedroom with a comfortable large bed. We ate dinner there on our 1st night since we arrived late and it was a delicious full course home cooked meal at our request. We had the room to ourselves! Breakfast included all you could want including delicious spinach pies (borek) and on request fresh omlettes. We bought pomegranates which they seeded for us to eat with our breakfast. Service was attentive and friendly. We will miss the resident cats as we found one we wanted to bring home. We thought Usichar was the best town in the area to stay in since it was smaller and quiet, and had views over the whole region. You couldnt find a better hotel there than Taskonaklar. I would highly recommend it!!

We have just spent 4 fabulous days staying at the Taskonaklar In Uchisar, Cappadoccia. As one arrives into Uchisar one wonders what all the fuss is about, until one arrives at the Taskonaklar and is embraced by the beauty of Capadoccia. We had 2 adjoining rooms, both of which could not have been better. Our room had a beautiful fireplace, which we lit at night, and a terrace overlooking the spectacular countryside and otherworldly rock formations. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff always helpful. Breakfast is great and although dinner is offered upon request, we went out in the evenings following the hotel's recommendations. All were good and on our last night we went to the Museum Hotel. No doubt the location and the hotel is very beautiful but it was a little stiff and lacked the easy-going charm of the Taskonanklar. I would recommend the hotel without any reservations, and hope to return one day, as Cappadoccia is nothing short of magical.

Taskonaklar is a beautiful hotel deep in the heart of Uçhisar.

I stayed here with my wife in August in our holidays this year. Taskonaklar was our base to visit the region of Cappadocia and because we were in the middle of the region the rides to everywhere were not too long.

Taskonaklar is almost a cave hotel... Almost because it is build in the mountain and only some rooms or some divisions of rooms are deep in a cave. Although this should not limit your cave experience because the owners respect the surrounding environment and only use materials that are made of or are alike the rock of the caves.

Taskonaklar is a very clean hotel, the rooms are well decorated, they change towels everyday and offers you a wonderful view to the pigeon valley. If you won't make the balloon ride (I didn’t because the weather was always a litle smoggy and I though it was to expensive and would enjoy has much as I should due to the weather) make the effort to wake at 4am to see the sunrise and the balloons over the pigeon valley. It is a great experience.

The breakfast was a great experience at Taskonaklar. They have enough variety and you are offered both a continental and a turkish gastronomic experience. Everything is fresh and the breakfast room also has a great view.

The staff have a good english (considering the turkish standards) and are very nice and available to help you.

A tip when visiting Cappadocia: if you are using the lonely planet guide, do not go to the Kapuzbasi Waterfalls in Aladaglar National Park, it is not worth the three hours ride in a bumpy road...
