“Amazing experience - superb hotel, service in the heart of historic site”
Reviewed December 24, 2010

This boutique hotel is located one of the most charming sites of this ancient region called Cappadocia. We went there with my wife based upon recomendation by outr friends.
Everything was perfect starting from decoration and architecture of the hotel, service quality, food in restaurant and even cultural activities take place in the hotel facilities. It was trully an amazing experience for both of us. We also did hot balooning which gives you a better idea about the beauty of the region.
Bonus is the wine tasting: The hotel has it's own house-wine which was delicious.
Great place to go and stay. We will repeat this tour again.

The Argos in Cappadocia has got to be the most romantic hotel on earth. There is a charm about this place...the scenery....the design...that is absolutely enchanting. This hotel is nothing short of breathtaking. This was me and my boyfriend's first visit to Cappadocia and the highlight of our trip to Turkey. The landscaping and attention to detail of this hotel are remarkable. There are interesting artefacts scattered all over teh place. It is like a maze...everywhere you turn there is some sort of nook or sitting area of little courtyard with breathtaking views of the valleys and haunting fairy chimneys. It really is like no other place.

Our cave room was huge and so comfortable and so clean and so extremely gorgeous! The bathroom was immaculate. We loved teh fact that there was no TV as it made the whole trip that much more romantic and relaxing.

Now to breakfast. The breakfast you will have at this hotel is unlike any breakfast you will ever have at any other hotel. The moment you sit down you are brought a selection of cheeses, cold cuts, olives, jams, fruits, breads...etc etc...everyhign is so immaculate and beautifully presented. Not to mention the excelletn wait staff that were so kind throughout our stay and even gave us a tour of the underground tunnel of the hotel which we very much enjoyed! We had dinner at the hotel on our last evening as well which was delicious.

A few travel tips:
1- We booked out hotair ballon flight (a MUST!) while in Istanbul with Atmosfer Balloons (teh blue and yellow ones). Its a new company with brand new balloons and wonderful pilots. We had previously booked with another company online and ended up canceling as we saved 50 Euros by booking with a travel agency in Istanbul.

2- For anyone looking to buy a carpet....we walked through pigeaon valley all the way to Goreme and bought a lovely Turkish carpet at a store called Tribal Collections. It is owned by a very nice Australian lady. You will not be dissapointed!

Now go! Just book the Argos! No need to look any further this hotel is like a dream!

Just returned from three days in Cappadocia. Enjoyed our stay at Argos. The hotel is beautifully situated along a steep hillside with spectacular views. Lots and lots of stairs and vistas. Our large cave room included a private terrace, enormous bathroom and comfortable bedroom and separate living room with fireplace. Lighting in the room was atmospheric but inadequate. Shower area was large but enclosure was claustrophobic. Breakfasts were tasty with breads, cheeses, olives, meat, omelets. Restaurant dinners were satisfactory but not fantastic. Something that one of us wanted each night from the menu was unavailable. Guest computer in lounge but always being used by staff to play video poker. They only reluctantly interrupted their games. Argos has the potential to be a truly fantastic hotel but currently is only very good.

This hotel was by far the nicest hotels I have visited. It is situated on the side of a mountain in a small village. We had a one bedroom suite with a large living area, balcony overlooking the valley, huge bedroom and spectacular bathroom. The restaurant had excellent food and had a great view of the valley. The stairs to the restaurant were lit by votive candles to mark the way. The town had winding cobblestone roads, shops, and a great restaurant Elai Restaurant! It was so nice to take a walk in such a beautiful town.

There is nothing like this hotel in the United States and was a once in a lifetime experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I visited this hotel for a wedding. The wedding party had taken nearly all the rooms at the hotel so there was a festive atmosphere from the start. Cappadocia is an unforgettable part of Turkey anyway and I had been to Uchisar four times before but I had never stayed in a hotel.
This hotel has been lovingly created in original buildings, maintaining all original features. My 'room' was actually a separate house (!), magnificently square, with gorgeous luxurious furnishings and a marvellously equipped stone bathroom.
The views from everywhere in the hotel are stunning. We sat on the terrace enjoying a beer, relishing the sunshine, friendship and the exotic feel of this hotel.
The restauant served us a wonderful set meal for the wedding guests and I would certainly recommend the restaurant.
Overall this hotel is unique; right in the heart of the heart of Cappadocia. If you love great hotels this is for you.

This boutique hotel has everything one vacationer could dream of : location, discretion and respectful service, high-quality in every aspect, design, class, qualified staff..... what could one expect more? Argos in Cappadocia is pretty much close to perfection and has definitely contributed in making us want to come back to this region of Turkey. Everything was total bliss
