We stayed at the Sultan suites for 3 days/2 nights. The staff are very helpful and very prompt in making reservations or putting us in touch with travel agents. They have a very cozy lobby, great restaurant and provide excellent shuttle services into town or dropping to nearby places of interest. The cave room was very comfortable and most of their rooms come with excellent views of the valleys in Cappadocia. Good breakfast and excellent service. Totally recommended.

Room Tip: Choose a junior suite. A little bigger than the normal room but totally worth it.

When I inquired about a booking, I got an immediate response as well as lots of helpful information on activities and tours available in Goreme. The staff were very responsive and helpful in making bookings for me or putting me in touch with other companies for services. And they even offered free transportation a couple times to key locations I wanted to visit without a formal tour. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel is beautiful, with lots of nice views and neat cave rooms. It's also convenient to downtown.

The only downside was that the rooms were quite cold (especially the Junior suite which is a bit larger than the smaller room I stayed in for one night). Fortunately, they can light up a wooden fire in your room during the winter. The walls are also a bit thin, but I'm sure that's how all caves are. :-)

We stayed at Sultan caves for just 2 nights – unfortunately, it really is a great hotel worth staying at. The staff was all ready to help with a smile. They took care of our transfer from Kaysari airport to the hotel which worked out perfectly and was very well priced (10 euro/person one way). Since we only had a day and a half to fit everything in, the manager (I think Mehmet) was really helpful with getting us sorted with tours and ideas (which reflected exactly what we had been thinking of doing so there was no forced sale of any tour etc). He very kindly drove us to the open air museum when we were ready to go on our first afternoon and sort out our day tour for the following day with another company and not the first company they usually work with. It was not our first choice and he was well aware of this so he tried to get us a better price. All worked out well at the end. The hotel is very good and clean and we loved the fire place in our room. We asked for help to light it a couple of times and they never grumbled about having to help at any stage. We ate at the hotel’s restaurant every time since it was really good and we really didn’t feel like walking to the centre for dinner. we also used the hamam (bath + massage package) at their sister hotel close by, out first experience and was v good. Perfect service and if I were to fault anything it would be the water pressure in the shower (long thick hair is hard to get sorted) but that wasn’t even that bad either! Was perfect overall and would recommend to anyone.

We were very impressed with this hotel. Location was great, looking over the town of Goreme and its spectacular valley . The hotel is located up one side of the valley, about five-or-so minutes walk from the town centre and bus stop. (It isn't actually inside a cave, however.) Our room was quiet, spacious and well equipped, including a kettle. Our only gripe: it was fitted out in a rustic style, which meant lots of hard floors and chairs with uncomfortable wire backs. The shower was good. Breakfasts were excellent and our dinner there was outstanding. Service was fantastic as the staff go to such effort to ensure guests have a good program of activities. We overheard them fixing problems with plane bookings for some guests, and they moved rapidly to fix a wrong tour booking for us. Sultan Caves suites is associated with two excellent tour provides: Heritage Travel and Butterfly Balloons; they will also book tours with other providers. We would happily stay there again.

My friends and I had 48 hours in Cappadocia and wanted to fit as much in as we could in this short time. While we hadn't had the time to plan our time in advance, we booked a hot air balloon ride, day tour and whirling dervishes ceremony less than 24 hours in advance of arriving - even with our short notice, the staff ensured our reservations were taken care of. Upon arriving we were greeted by the wonder Hasan Kabalci - he patiently (and humorously) answered each of our questions and recommended additional not to miss experiences. When we were unsure how we'd manage to get to and from the Open Air Museum with our tight schedule he graciously offered to have transportation arranged so we wouldn't miss our day tour.

Later that same evening, as we missed our scheduled shuttle to the Whirling Dervish ceremony, he took care of re-booking us to a later show and when he learned the shuttle was unavailable he promised to take care of making arrangements to get us there. Well, as a man of his word, when a driver couldn't be found he drove us there himself, waited while we enjoyed the ceremony and drove us back.

I have to say, Hasan, if you're reading this - you made our stay - THANK YOU for your generosity and your hospitality...and for the endless supply of jokes and apple tea :-)

I highly recommend staying at Sultan Cave Suites, you'll always be welcomed as a true guest and they will ensure you have an enjoyable time. Also, have the lamb shank at the restaurant - delish!

Room Tip: 301 was GIANT - loved it - what a view :-)

We loved our room in a cave and the balcony with the stunning view over Goreme. We enjoyed the restaurant for dinner, and our 3 breakfasts were simply the best. The friendly staff were helpful and accommodating with nothing being too much trouble. We will never forget our balloon ride over the city on our first morning and then waking up to the sound of ballons hovering in front of our balcony on the mornings that followed. Highly recommended for anyone exploring Cappadocia.
