The two brothers that run the front desk at The Canyonview were very nice hosts. They provided us great information about exploring Cappadocia and were always right on with their suggestions. We booked our balloon flight through Urgup Balloons and has an excellent flight, piloted by one of the brothers! All around, great location, nice omelettes for breakfast and friendly staff. Recommended.

I stayed at Canyon View hotel for 1 night.. Seyit and his family are fantastic hosts..
The cave rooms are well designed and spacious. The hotel is 10 mins walk from the city center.
Seyits family cooked tasty breakfast..
Very friendly and warm owners.. Had a good time...
Btw.. Seyit is also a hot air balloon pilot!

Room Tip: Higher rooms have better view, but you need to walk a bit more..

We stayed here in late March with a large family (7 people) in the family room. It was absolutely ideal for us. It is a cave hotel, which isn't for everyone (the rooms are quite dark and seem slightly dusty even after being cleaned), but was a great part of the experience.

The downsides: the internet connection was fairly dodgy (the cable to the room seems to need replacing), the plumbing is a little loud (surprisingly given it is rock walls), but other than that pretty much everything was excellent. The brothers who run the place were wonderful. When our shuttle at the airport didn't show up at first, all it took was one text and they had the situation fixed within 10 minutes. The breakfast was just what was needed, and always plentiful. Their help in arranging tours and shuttles was just great as well.

Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The owners make the place very welcoming and cozy. The cave rooms are unique and charming, the beds are very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious (the fluffy omelettes are great). Good value for the money and the owners are extremely helpful. Hot water was inconsistent and the bathtub could use some kind of shower curtain, but you are in a cave... Would definitely stay again (room 3), and we also enjoyed the balloon ride with Urgup balloons.

Mustafa and Seyit run this family run hotel. They gave us a great cave room and were very friendly and hospitable throughout our stay. We only stayed for 2 days. Had no complaints what soever. The bathroom was extremely well maintained.

Good breakfast (they make amazing fluffy omelettes).

Very close to Goreme bus station. They even pick you up from the bus station. One thing I would recommend is to put a sit down toilet instead of a squat toilet in their common restroom in the reception

We stayed in the 5 bed family room, which was good value for the price we paid, in fact having a separate parents room with door made it more like a suite or adjoining rooms. This was nice because it meant our kids could go to bed and we didn't have to whisper and stay in the dark like many family rooms I've stayed in.
You do have to have realistic expectations about this hotel, you are paying a reasonable price so you can't expect Hilton standards. Also, the rooms are dug out caves so they will be quirky shapes with occasional stone falling from the ceiling, it is sandstone after all.
The family room was an old stable with two toilets, one in the main bathroom. Not necessarily good for very tall people as the cave ceilings are low. The bathrooms were clean but probably could do with updating. The beds were comfortable but not as firm as i would like but we all slept well.
Light in the rooms is limited because they are caves but the owners have done well to try and vary the electric lighting and put mirrors around. Though if you need light for hair and make up this is tricky because sockets are not always positioned near to the best daylight or mirror. Not untypical of many hotels around the world.
The hotel is run by brothers who are friendly and know the area well. They offer a hearty breakfast, which can be taken on the terrace, though the number of tables was limited this time.
We had a great time and our kids simply loved the hotel finding it quirky and exciting. We would definitely stay there again. It's not easy to find family rooms for a family of 5, even if we had paid a lot more. So well done to the Canyon view for being creative in the way they laid out the family room (properly understanding a family) and for giving us a warm welcome when we arrived.

Room Tip: Look at the photos, it turns out they are an honest representation of what you will get. At least it...
