As a couple generally staying in cheaper hotels and hostels in Turkey there was a wow factor to walking into the room at Travellers Cave Pension. They are large, nicely lit with comfortable beds and pillows. For the price they are a treat.
The rooms are in a 'cave', mostly just rooms built from the local rock, with some rooms being dug into the hill a little bit. You do get the rock crumbling a bit so there is a bit of grit around but nothing to really worry about.
We slept well here although you can here some outside noise.
The bathroom had an issue with small electric shocks coming from the shower tap, but they moved us to a new room after we alerted them of this and it wasn't a major inconvenience.
Breakfast is good with a great view. They were good in arranging tours which were at a backpacker price and pretty decent.
They offered a free shuttle from the bus station which is useful. Although it's not far to walk there are three different options with similar names in Goreme and the back streets are not straight forward to navigate.
We would definitely stay again.More
