“Worth the Walk”
Reviewed January 24, 2014

Unfortunately for us, the church was locked and closed when we visited, but we really enjoyed the short hike out to see it. We were there late afternoon in December 2012 and weren't sure why it wasn't open. We were able to take some beautiful exterior photographs and the surrounding landscape is fabulous. We also met a precious dog that seemed to guide the way for us.

“A Little Walk to find a Nice Church”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

A short walk off the road to the museum to find this church. Well-marked path. Frescos are well preserved and church has a different design. Unsure why there is a 5 TL charge, but the guy was there when we visited, unlike for some other churches that are locked.

“cute :)”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

Not the best, but definitely worth going to. And there are guard dogs, how cute is that? Very. The paintings on the inside are a but lost, but it is really nice.

“SMALL AND BEAUTIFUL”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

Very small church between Goreme and the Open Air Museum. Simple and lovely. Good condition. Walls still clear. There was a concierge with key who let us in and showed us round so not sure if he's there all the time, he also seemed to be a tour guide.
