“Extremely Clean”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2013

Since I was traveling in low-season, I did not expect to find many great places to be open in Goreme. Fortunately The Dorm was open and you just couldn't beat the price, location, friendly service and comfort.

The hostel has both dormitory beds and double rooms, both were a great value - I chose to stay in the dorm since it was half-empty, but filled up later. The dorm was immaculately clean and well-designed. There were plenty of electric outlets so people could charge all their devices. Free wifi is available on-premises. There are several bathrooms/showers, all of them extremely clean and nicely setup.

Breakfast was awesome, as others have described here, pretty large plate with both sweet and salty produce. No complaints there.

I'd definitely stay here again, the service was professional and friendly, I felt very comfortable here. Great value.

For a city like Goreme I am pretty sure that this hostel is one of the best over there.
The staff is very nice, the bathrooms are clean and warm. The bedrooms are warm and cozy.
They book some tours from there, I did some of then and was very nice.
Cons: The breakfast is a bit poor, but OK.
I recommend this hostel!

We stayed in one of the double rooms with private bathrooms and I have to say it is one of the best places, for the price, we have stayed on a 7 month world trip. It cost around the 30 euro mark for both of us a night and included breakfast, and what a breakfast it was! A very large plate of tomatoes, cheese, cucumber, olives, figs, oranges, a boiled egg, cream cheese, butter, chocolate spread, honey and sometimes salami with tea, apple tea or Nescafe coffee and bread (which they will give you more if you run our an ask for it). We literally ate breakfast and then were not hungry again until dinner time it was so opulent! The room was lovely, the bricks are made of stone and even have some decorative patterns carved into some of the stones, the bathroom was large and the water hot with good pressure. There was a fantastic hydronic heater in the room which kept it toasty as the nights were getting colder. The pillows and bed and doona were blissfully soft and new (not like a lot of the old, lumpy or hard ones you often get), it was decadent! The only thing some people may hate was that they didn't clean our room every day as this is also a hostel, but I'm sure you could ask for it if you wanted it and really, who needs new towels every day? This place has apparently only been open about 6 months.

The hotel staff are very helpful and will assist you in booking tours and balloon rides and the prices are very competitive from what I can gather when checking out prices in town too. We did the Anatolian company balloon ride, it was booked through the hotel and was great, I think the difference between the companies is small or nonexistent so I would not pay for the more expensive ones personally. Really enjoyed Cappadocia and staying in this place.

The dorm cave is centrally located to the otogar (bus station) and the main sites of Goreme. It seems like it is new and the facilities are of a very high standard, the staff are helpful but I'm taking off a point because (I think) the owner is very surly, lighten up ;)

Nice place to stay while in Göreme and to explore Cappadoccia. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Dorm and showers were okay, just shower at afternoon when there is warm water. Breakfast is typical turkish and more than enough.
