If you visit Goreme you should definitely visit this restaurant. Pottery kebap is really traditional and tasty. I strongly recommend it. Turkish pide is also good.

“Nice food, wonderful boss”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

Really nice food, jar meat is a must.
And nice boss, very warm place.

“Excellent good, excellent service!”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

We ate here the first night we arrived Goreme, the service was excellent! A New Yorker living in goreme served us, he was chatty told us his story! We have some pide which was made fresh and was really tasty! At the end we got complimentary apple tea which just topped off the experience!

“Cool place!”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

We hit there on our first day in Göreme. Actually this place was recommended by our hotel and we just decided to follow their suggestions. The lady (the owner) was quite warm when she was welcoming us. After their neighbor (totally not-related with their restaurant) threw rubbish on the street, she came to us to apologize million times.
Also, their "pide" was quite successful and economic. I have had more expensive "pide"s in different places of Turkey with worse taste. So, this place is the right place to fill your belly.

“Great Food & Great Fun”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

We've had dinner at this lovely place for three nights in a row. Every pide we had was really, really good (try pastrami and mix it up with some veggies), with excellent dough, cheese, meat and veggies - always hot and fresh and so tasty. Lentil soup, salads and traditional Turkish mezes are also amazing, authentic and fresh. We loved traditional Desti and shrimp kebabs, definitely try that!

However, although the quality of the food is simply great, what kept us coming back is the warm, friendly, almost family-like atmosphere (the restaurant is run by a family and all of them are always there, being super-cheerful and having fun) and excellent service. They always gave us either complimentary tea, or some Turkish specialties, or raki, and we always had many, many laughs and great fun, often staying very late.

Look out for a handsome, short guy in a blue uniform named Ilkay! This native New Yorker will definitely make your evening with his permanent ear-to-ear smile and a bunch of cool stories, if you're lucky enough to have him as your waiter.
