Kelebek was recommended to me by friends and after staying there I can see why. The rooms are nice - not caves the way I was hoping, but nice. The terrace is perfect for lounging around in and sipping on free teas/coffees while you read or just unwind. The complimentary organic breakfast at the hotel owner's farm and his commentary on the way to the farm were one of the best tours I had on this six week holiday. It was very special!

Kelebek was a great place to go back to each day after enjoying the varied activities and adventures Göreme has to offer.

Great value at this hotel. Very friendly helpful staff ( eg Reception guy drove us to open- air museum on last day for free). Restaurant good food - very good prices and wide range.
Rooms spacious- however noisy keys- can hear neighbours coming and going.
Only downside - a bit far to walk to local village. Taxi -10 TL (= approx A$5 ).
However Butterfly Hot Air Balloons are in conjunction with Hotel and that worked well ( English firm).

Room Tip: Avoid Room with balcony located over the Turkish Baths - ok in May month but could get hot in summer...

The staff at Kelebek were really fantastic. On arrival (using the airport transfer organised through the hotel) we were given heaps of information about local things to see and do, based on what we said we'd be interested in.

The rooms were interesting - we stayed in the winter suite which was beautiful. I did think it fairly amusing that there were no smoking signs in the room, but a picture of a older Turkish man smoking right next to the sign!

The bed was very firm, and the duvet only just covered the size of the bed, so if you wanted some covers to actually cover you, you needed to both sleep in the middle of the bed.

The bathroom was lovely, although we didn't take advantage of the jacuzzi in our room due to other circumstances. The shower was a shower for giants - the bracket to hold the shower head was so high up on the wall you needed to either put the shower onto the inner jets to actually get wet while standing under the water, or else hold the shower head in one hand.

The best part of our stay by far was the organic breakfast in Kings Valley. The history of the farm and the area (told by the hotel and farm owner) and the food provided was just incredible. The aubergines and immature walnuts were the most amazing things I've tasted in a long time. Definitely, DEFINITELY go for the organic breakfast on one of your mornings if you stay at Kelebek.

The staff at Kelebek can help you with anything you desire to see or experience in the region. I've stayed twice with two quite different parties and we were well accommodated each time. Ask them to book your balloon flight.

Room Tip: Choose a cave room. You won't have a good wifi connection, but the views of the valley are bett...

My husband and I couldn't say enough about how much we loved this hotel. Everything was seamless and taken care of. We booked our airport transfer, hot air balloon ride, and day tour through the hotel and everything was perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us.

What's more, the hotel itself is beautiful. Our room was beautifully appointed and the bathroom was spa quality. We stayed in room and the only thing we didn't like was that our room faced a high traffic areas, so you could hear fools waking by. Otherwise though, everything was fabulous and we were so sad to go. I only wish we had more friends going to Cappadocia so I could recommend the hotel to more people!!

The manager is the Best. The location, rooms, service cannot be beat. The breakfast with the owner is a rare treat. What can I say a special place for sure!

The information provided by the manager was accurate and super helpful. Our special occasion was made all the more special because of the team and the hotel.
