Our family had been traveling Turkey for about a month before we landed at Kelebek. We were immediately impressed when we stepped onto the property. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful (despite being peak season and completely full). They were busy, but still managed to take the time to make us feel welcome and at home. Each room is different and unique. I enjoyed the Hamam (turkish bath) and booked a massage and facial too. The views were incredible--I would wake early and watch the hot air balloons hover over Goreme. I would go to the same spot in the evening and take in the night views and lights. We loved the place so much that we extended our stay two more nights. Although we had a car, we were able to walk everywhere. Many restaurants, shops, cafes and activities just minutes away. I would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights last March 2012. We picked a room in a fairy chimney and it was awesome. The hotel is beautiful. We did some guided tours from the hotel and they were fun. I highly recommend staying here.

Room Tip: Go to their webpage when booking because you can view all the rooms and pick the one you want. If i...

The staff was simply amazing. We arrived at 8:30 am after an overnight bus from Pamukkale (oh the horror, not really that bad). The bus drops you off in the town square and you go into the tourist office, they call your hotel and in 5 minutes they are there to pick you up. Upon arrival, you really feel welcome. First they apologize for not having the room ready (its 8:30 in the morning no way did I expect the room to be ready) and then they offer us breakfast and what a beautiful breakfast it is, breads and honey and olives and cheese plus they will make you fresh eggs and omelets. After breakfast our room was ready and after a short tour of the place which is absolutely stunning with beautiful views. If you don't go on a balloon ride, make sure to get up early and take pictures of the balloons taking off while you are eating breakfast. The rooms are just like the pictures on the website, you feel like you are in a cave room but modern with beautiful bathrooms. Plenty of hot water and nice showers. The staff was very helpful at booking tours and even gave us a drive up to the Goreme Open Air museum and to the Rose Trail. We did not get to use the spa, but hope to someday upon our return. Had dinner in the restaurant which was very good. Note I was only here for a couple of nights, but if you like the outdoors, hiking, biking or just like to relax in a beautiful setting it seems well worth staying a few extra nights.

Room Tip: Look at the website to see pictures of rooms, we were in one of the more inexpensive rooms which was...

The evening we arrived it started snowing (early January 2013). Made the view from the hotel even better than usual. Through the hotel we booked a driver to take us from the airport to the hotel. Worked well. When we checked in they were well organized. While our room was not one of those carved out of the side of a rock spire, it had the feeling it was. WiFi did not work in the room, but a quick hop up to the lounge/dinning room and it worked great. The room was very nice with a good bathroom. We ate most of our meals there as the snow kept us from roaming on our own too much. We thought the food was excellent and the prices reasonable. Not sure if it was because we were there in January, off-season, but they gave us a free ride to the Goreme Open Air Museum - a must see. We walked back to the hotel which wasn't as far as I thought it would be. We also booked a Butterfly Balloon ride through the hotel. Started snowing while in the air - turned the landscape into even more of a piece of art. Hope to go back to Kelebek again.

Bit late with my reviews we stayed here late September 2012. We had a twin room 10 and it was a fantastic room. We felt like we were in Hobbit land. The room looks like it is on the website. Very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was a real treat for us as we had been staying in some very small accommodations. The only small complaint was that the skylight would shine in on the bed furthest from the bathroom. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The views spectacular..you will have to take a balloon trip with butterfly an experience not to be missed!.We stayed 4 nights and 2 of those nights we ate there and ordered the chefs specials..these were some of the best meals we had on our 3 week trip in Turkey..excellent food. Its a bit of a walk back from town centre but too exhausting. Overall this was a highlight of our journey.

Kelebek hotel was recommended to me by a friend, and it really is a great place to stay. The rooms are very cozy, warm, clean and beautiful - carved into a fairy chimney. The views from the terrace are breathtaking. The terrace itself is also super cute and cozy, great place to relax in between sightseeing - especially with the cats! Additionally, the staff (Hasan is the most I spoke to the most) is incredibly helpful and really takes care of you to make the most of your experience. They handled our huge group of 11 very well, with all of our last minute room and itinerary changes. Make sure to also do a hot air balloon ride with Butterfly Balloons and a day tour!
