We stayed at Safran for 3 nights. We booked the King suite, which was beautifully decorated and very charming. The room was not air-conditioned but as it is a cave room it was comfortably cool despite the hot weather outside. Everything was very clean and the room well-equipped - even with complementary drinks in the fridge.

The host and family at Safran were fantastic - always eager to help without being pushy. Breakfast was delicious with a wide range of fresh food served in the pretty courtyard area. The location is also perfect - a very easy walk to the village centre.

A great place to stay, highly recommended.

Had a great time at your hotel. It was like staying with family. The owners are the Safran family and run a great hotel. The free breakfast is fantastic and they will cook you dinner for a fee that is also very delicious. There is some street noise and early risers (balloon pickups at 4am) but very comfortable. Highly recommended.

This is a small (8 room) family run hotel. Those involved are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really nice and included a fresh omelette if desired. The only downside was a lack of air conditioning so it could be hot at night.

The host and his family couldn't be nicer, and their hotel has been freshly renovated to quite a nice standard. The breakfast spread in the morning is tasty and plentiful with the things you find at breakfast in most Turkish hotels: fresh fruits, olives, cheeses, breads, tea and coffee, perhaps boiled eggs. The location in Goreme is quite convenient: far enough out to be quiet, but close enough in that you'll walk anywhere in town in a twinkle. The do not at present have air conditioning, so you may take that fact into account if you're travelling in the hotest season and are used to being cold at night. Otherwise, the rooms get good ventilation and cool down fairly quickly at night.

Room Tip: I'm guessing the rooms on the first floor up have better ventilation during summer months.

I read all the reviews therefore disappointed upon arrival. We expected a cave hotel which would be cool both in temperature and atmosphere. It was hot, minimal ventilation. The room had one window that opened into courtyard so had to keep drapes closed for privacy. I requested twin beds as shown in picture, when I asked about it they showed me it was a king so two box springs. Minimal English spoken though we got by with communication. Owners very friendly and helpful! Continental breakfast with instant Nescape coffee. WiFi good, location excellent but they could have the courtyard much nicer, two little pools with fountains but no water. Not taken care of very well. Nice terrace on top but laundry and rugs drying which took away from atmosphere. I'm sorry to say if I come back I will look elsewhere. I write honest review so future travelers will not be disappointed.

My wife and I stayed here in May 2013. Everyone was so accommodating and the place was really wonderful. All the rooms face the courtyard, which I thought might be an issue but really wasn't. We sleep in and when everyone had breakfast in the courtyard early in the morning, it was just fine and the noise was barely audible. Breakfast was really delicious and everyone was so really nice.

The rooms were really nice and clean. We stayed in one night and had dinner on our room and the food was really delicious. We had such a great time we'd definitely recommend it to our friends.

I was absolutely impressed by the hotel. We chose a superior room and it was all worth it. The room was big and clean. Even the bed was spacious. The staff was very nice and friendly. Definetely recommended.
