“Great food, great place”

Went here with my family on the advice of the other reviews and was not at all disappointed. Just the opposite, in fact. Mustafa, the chef, clearly knows his stuff and each dish presented to us, from soup to baklava, was delicious (and he was friendly and polite besides). The mushroom soup was great, each of the mezze dishes were tasty (the eggplant in particular was divine), and the chicken and lamb were excellent was well. The restaurant itself had great ambiance and overall I had a highly enjoyable experience. Should I ever be in Goreme again I will return here in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

Topdeck and his daugther were so sweet. I had the best tomato soup there and all other foods were wonderful too. Highly recommended!

“So typical and calm”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 23, 2012

The food was absolutely excellent, especially the mezze. It is run by an family, the service is fast and friendly. It is quite a small place so it is better to book in advance. The decoration, as so many places in Goreme, is typically turkish and welcoming. The menu is limited, but they will cook according to your requirements if you don't want the dish of the day!

“Yes please”

Great setting for some fantastic food. We ate here twice during our stay of 4 nights in Goreme and on both occasions we loved what we got. The meze platters are superb, soups full of flavour, the sigara boreks are a must and the lamb is to die for. On top of this the service is good and there's a warm family atmosphere. Make sure you eat here when you're in Goreme.

“Incredible food, above and beyond service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2012

My husband and I and 3 new friends chose this restaurant at the last minute. We mentioned our dinner plans to the manager of our hotel. Being a small town, everyone knows everyone, and the hotel manager took it upon himself to call the restaurant owner and let him know we were coming. We arrived about half an hour later and were treated like old friends. Within minutes, our table in this cave-restaurant was adorned with 10 meze dishes. We hadn't ordered a thing! After our group plowed through these appetizers, several main dishes were brought out. The food was spectacular and we got a chance to sample all the favorite local dishes. Once the beautiful meal was over, the owner, "Topdeck", who is also the chef, dropped everything and drove the lady with poor knees back to her hotel.
I can't say enough about this restaurant and the fabulous owner. Anyone visiting Goreme in Cappadocia should experience Topdeck's food and hospitality.
