Location - town centre near bus station.
Staff - friendly attentive with attempts at English. Very nice.
Food - pottery kebab is superb. Novel, tasty and hot. Served with a spoonful of rice and 4 pieces of cubed potato.
Value for money - well not the best but you will need 3 courses to make any attempt to satisfy you but not overly expensive.
So why 3 stars? Portions were very small and extra portions ordered never turned up. Can't fault potery kebab as it was very good but there just wasn't enough. Desert was needed but disappointed to find the rice pudding came in foil dish. Obviously not made on the premises or fresh!
Left a little disappointed. And still hungry!

We ate here several times during our stay because the food and service was so good. Much better than many meals we ate in Istanbul. Try their humus, their fresh bread and local butter, their clay pot stews, their soup - everything really! A great spot in the centre of town. Looks touristy as you walk by but is peaceful and welcoming.

This restaurant was recommended by the owner of the hotel that we stayed in Goreme. It was located within walking distance from the town centre. It offer average turkish style food. Most of the staff spoke little or no English except one manager who could communicate with their guests in English. However, I felt that this manager was rather arrogant and did not quite respect their guests. He kept telling us to wait patiently for some of our ordered food which did not come for nearly an hour and did nothing to urge the kitchen staff to expedite the delivery. He even found time to argue with us as hungry guests that if we needed the food we had to be patient or he could cancelled our order if the food did not come within another 5 minutes. This was the kind of service we had in this restaurant.

I've been here maybe 3 times in recent years and the food is always fine, the terrace is nice, and the staff are pleasant once you get their attention. The location is good -- in the village center.

Amazing food and drink, great prices and a welcoming atmosphere! My group and I ate there twice out of our three meals in Göreme and all loved it.
