My friend and I had been in Goreme for a couple days and had not found decent food yet-including at the over-priced place recommended by our hotel. We say that Anatolian Kitchen was one of the higher rated places in Goreme and decided to try it. We were not sorry. The staff was friendly, it was very atmospheric, and not only was the food fantastic-it was cheap! You definitely need to order the pacanga borek. Some of the best I've had in Turkey.

Had a great meal here and puzzled by the bill at the end as it seemed very cheap. Highly rate this place!

Popped in here for a late lunch after wandering around the open air museum. The food was tasty, the beer was cold, and the chairs were so comfortable I felt like I could easily have a nap!

Unfortunately there was a bit of work going on in the building immediately next door which distracted somewhat from the atmosphere, but there's not an awful lot you can do about it. Also very pleased to see that there were no ash trays on the tables inside, so hopefully smoking is outdoors only.

Good value and tasty food

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel - Osmanli Manor Hotel (which is excellent!) and we were not disappointed. We were exhausted and cold after a long day our on tour and we felt like a warming dinner. Everything about this place makes you feel warm!! From the gorgeous Turkish carpets draped on the walls and ceiling to the gorgeous smiling and welcoming staff and of course the delicious food! We ordered a fabulous mixed pide and traditional chicken claypot which came with rice and roasted potatoes with a glass of the local red wine. Before our meal came out we devoured an amazing Turkish bread which we lathered in butter and fetta. HEAVEN!! The owner gave us a Turkish tea to finish the night off and we left feeling warm and satisfied! HIghly recommend this place!!

This is a great spot and we actually ended up eating here twice during our visit. The owner is friendly and the restaurant is exactly what we were looking for after long days of hiking and wandering around the area. Very relaxed and reasonably priced. The clay pot dishes were great, and oh, the bread!
