“Great view food only ok.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2012

We were 5 people and were given a table with a wonderful view. The service was efficient and we had pre-ordered our meals a local speciality of a stew cooked in a clay pot which is then cracked open at the table. All very special but the stew itself was very salty and not very enjoyable. We didn't have this dish anywhere else so we have nothing to compare it to.

“Best dinner in turkey”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2012

Just finished a very charming dinner hidden in the upper roofs of goreme. Intimate atmosphere, personal and friendly service. Great view. We had the fixed menu...which was more than enough for two persons...for 30TL. Great value. They were also very accomodating for our food allergies, and made a substitution for us. if you are in goreme, highly recommend having dinner here - you won't be disappointed!

“Beautiful place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2012

Mustafa at Arch Palace Hotel made a reservation for us here as the meat takes 2 hours to cook in the pottery. It is a beautiful restaurant (up a hill) and had a beautiful view of Goreme. The wait staff was very friendly and efficient. Our waiter asked me to perform the ritual of knocking the lid off our pottery with a hammer! We had ordered lamb and it came with mezes as well as rice. The food was very good, but almost every dish was a bit too spicy for us. The lamb was very tender.

“Mediocre food with amazing view”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2012 via mobile

We gave this restaurant a try because of the view. While the view was spectacular, the rest of the experience was extremely disappointing. They only offer a fixed menu if you are not ordering the clay pots. Since we didn't call ahead we went with the fixed menu which was just very bland. No variety, no flavor. I don't think adding additional items would have helped the meal. The service was particularly bad, probably the worst we've had in Turkey so far. Oh and please avoid the house wine!!! It's terrible. It tastes like grape moonshine. I couldn't stand to swallow it.

So if you want a great view, this is a good spot. If you are looking for good food, go somewhere else. And seriously stay away from their house wine.
