We have went there with my family. It was very nice to stay in Güvercinlik Room.
Very perfectionist design details. A family owned hotel with 10 rooms. Both the family members and the other workers were very friendly and gentle.

Room Tip: The Güvercinlik Room is excellent

This is a very unique experience, the rooms are amazing. Our room was located in four separate caves which were very nicely furnished and decorated. Lots of space, even if you do have to stoop a little but it makes you feel like you were in a different time and place. There is also the option of four different washing experiences, including your own personal Hamam. It was just such an agreeable way to spend a few hours relaxing moving about from cave to cave. Service was very super good, you'll be pushed to find such helpful owners anywhere in the world. However the bed was truly awful, hard, creaking and really really hard and creaking! Back still hurts. Good job the caves are so nice as this would have been a two star rating. Breakfast was very agreeable also.

Room Tip: The first room next to reception has four separate rooms, best we saw.

This boutique hotel, owned by a local family is small and personal and yet extremely professional. They have really got the balance right. The room we stayed in was beautifully crafted into the cave and all furniture and fittings have been made by the owner. The room had a bath and a shower in a separate bathroom, and reasonable space around the bed. Breakfast was typical of Turkey and very adequate for the day.
The owner was away while we were staying and his wife and two sons looked after us superbly. They arranged a balloon ride, a guide, shuttle services and a rental car for us. They made dinner reservations and had a takeaway Pide brought in one night when my husband was unwell. I recommend this hotel highly.

I gave my wife a trip to Cappadocia for her birthday and we stayed at Koza Cave Hotel for 3 nights. Koza Cave Hotel is a small, cozy, family-run B&B conveniently located on the slopes of Goreme. My wife and I enjoy having a feel for the local culture wherever we go and we find that in general staying at small places like Koza (rather than at large hotels with standardized and impersonalized service) makes our trips much more vivid and memorable.
Goreme itself is quite small which means that most places are reachable by foot. The hotel is a short 10 minute walk from downtown at a relaxed pace (less if downhill).
From the initial contact by phone and email, the owners of this lovely hotel have been extremely helpful and friendly, providing advice on which room type would best meet my needs (I wanted something special for this occasion), airport transfer, balloon trips, and other things to see and do in Cappadocia.
I chose the King Suite and it sure lived up to its name! For starters, this room occupies an entire fairy chimney, possibly the highest in Goreme, affording great views of the village below and of Uchisar ‘castle’ from its various windows and, which was particularly nice, from the small private ‘terrace’ at the top level. The décor was of very fine taste, most of it carefully handmade by Samed’s father, which really amazed us and created the right romantic atmosphere. The suite has 3 levels: on the 1st level it’s got a small living room with a fireplace + a large bathroom equipped with a jacuzzi (in perfect working condition BTW, since we used it all 3 nights of our stay!). On the 2nd, a single bed on which we left our luggage. Finally, on the top level it’s the double bed + wardrobe + a small sofa + the terrace.
This room is advertised as a ‘cave room’ but actually it is a ‘fairy chimney room’, which means no stuffy interior and no funny smells because of the proper ventilation the many windows allow for.
Breakfast is delicious and there is enough variety, including some delicious homemade jams.
Koza has agreements with the best balloon companies in the area so if you book your tour thru them they can get you an additional discount. What’s more, given that they know the owners of these companies, in the off season you might fly in smaller baskets if you request that in advance – it makes a lot of difference as it almost feels as if it is a private tour.
For advice on hikes (there are plenty of options around Goreme), Samed and his brother Tamer can give you useful hints. They told us how to get to the start of trails (not always easy to find), distances, kind of terrain, etc. Those were pretty useful to help us decide which hikes to prioritize (BTW, in my opinion, 3 days is not enough to see everything Cappadocia has to offer).
On our 2nd night in Goreme we wanted to try ‘testi kebab’, a typical Cappadocian dish, and Koza booked us a special ‘table’ at an incredibly cozy restaurant downtown (forgot the name now, but ask for the restaurant that used to be a stable). The food did not let us down and the experience was really unique.
On our last day, given that there was no reservation for our room, the owners let us check out in the evening, when our flight would leave from Nevsehir to Istanbul.
Alll in all, Koza has definitely got a lot of personality and its friendly owners greatly helped make our first visit to Cappadocia an unforgettable experience – the Dural family did everything for us to have a perfect stay!
Strongly recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: If your budget allows it, definitely go for the King Suite!

Two friends and I traveled to Turkey to explore Cappadocia this past winter. Koza Cave Hotel was the perfect place!! Great hospitality, superior room amenities, and a wonderful atmosphere. The hotel is also closely located to the center of town, making food and shopping options easily accessible. Breakfast was served everyday and was delicious! Not to be overlooked is the stunning landscape that surrounds Koza - definitely a must see! Sam, the hotel owner, was super helpful in booking our hot air balloon ride and tours of the underground cities. A true delight! I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Koza Cave Hotel was the first place we stayed on our trip to Turkey, and it proved to be a special, memorable place. The setting is stunning - cave rooms dug into the gorgeous Cappadocia landscape. From the small terraces above the hotel rooms, the views are incredible. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated - and certainly unusual, given the carved cave walls. The staff were very hospitable, and the breakfast was good. Free wi-fi, but it was only working in the lobby, not reliably in the rooms. The location is good; just a short walk down the hill into the heart of Goreme.
