“Great place for a special occasion”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

Very nice atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. Did not try to add mezes to our meal. Each dish is a production with flames and fancy cutlery. A meal for 4 with beer and wine came to 100TL.

“Very good food, fantastic staff!”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

Me, my wife and her sister and mother always share the food we order. We had regional food, that came very fast and tasty.
Not only in Göreme, but in whole tour we had in Turkey, "Old Cappadocia Cafe & Restaurant" was the best place we ate in (we usually pay USD 10 - 25 per person).
The best thing was the way we were treated there. Waiters speak English and are very kind and funny. Highly recommended!

For a place you can relax in and enjoy both the food and ambiance, come to this establishment. Of course, you get what you pay for so budget conscious be warned.

We had two dinners here and the food was always tasty. We ate pide and tasted soups and we loved it, especially pide was great. Very helpful staff and good service.

“A Bland Culinary Experience”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

When I walked by, the restaurant was deserted but I was encouraged to enter by a friendly waiter. By the time that I finished the evening meal, the restaurant was brimming in contrast to other nearby restaurants which had few guests, this still being the low season. I opted for the traditional clay pot stew [chicken], a local speciality. The contents did not live up to the theatrical presentation – nourishing but rather bland in taste. I did get tea included with the meal but over-all rated the experience as one of the more ordinary suppers of my trip to Turkey. The ambience though was warm and inviting. I would have tried another restaurant had I stayed an extra night just to compare.
