i just got back from a trip to Turkey.
first i read about Vezir Cave Suites and think they look nice so i book a room for 3 people through booking.com about 3 months before i go.
i sent them the e-mail (to the hotel directly) to confirm about my booking 2 weeks before i go... but didn't get the reply , still , i think the booking went well.

when we arrive at Goreme bus station in the morning , a staff (very helpful one) at the information office help us call the hotel for a pick up service.
they make us wait for 1 hour until they sent a staff ... right after we already find the taxi to go to the hotel.
(the staff said normally if the hotel can't come pick up a guest , guests can take a taxi and let the hotel pay the taxi fee.. and that morning the taxi was very hard to find)

and when we arrive at the hotel ,they look up in the list and can't find our name (and the rooms are all book)
the staff call the hotel owner , he told them to check the web booking.com and our name was there. so it's really is THEIR fault.
we were upset and they said they will find us the hotel with the same quality.
finally we get to stay at Spelunca Hotel but it's not so impressive for us as we were already so upset in the morning about the hotel ignoring our booking.

so just to warn you... if you want to book this hotel , don't book through some website , and even if you e-mail them (using their contact information in their website) , be sure to re-e-mail until you really get the reply as one may not be effective enough.

Dear customer and other viewers

This was a once off and unfortunate problem that we had with out hotel at the start of August. As you can see from our last 47 reviews this is not a re-occurring issue.

We recently realised a problem with our Microsoft Excel which meant that our reservations list was not up to date. We have since controlled all current and future bookings so that this does not happen again.

With any rooms which were over booked we had or have found suitable alternatives for and have advised any guests of this change. With this particular booking we were extreamly sorry and did our best to accommodate them for their stay.

An email was never recieved from the guests to confirm their booking and should we have received it we would have responded to the email within 24 hours as we do with all other guests emails.

Regardless of this misfortunate event we have since fixed this probelm so this does not happen in the future

Again we are terribly sorry to these guests and hope they do not have such an experience with their future travels

Really fascinating to experience how good comfort you can get in a cave. In fact there is very little cavefeeling but more of modern comfort. We stayed tree nights here and enjoyed it very much. The room was quite comfortable with beds made for good sleeping and bathroom in fully modern style. Temperature inside the caveroom was pleasant. Could have been a bit more space to store the suitcases but it was not a big problem. Veli Maden, the student in service, was very helpful with information, made us good omelettes in the mornings, helped us to arrange a marvellous balloontour in the early morning, although we decided late in the evening and later drove us to the busstation when we were leaving. VezirCave Suites is nicely situated a bit up in the hill, just enough for a comfortable walk from Göreme small center but enough high to offer a lovely view of the landscape in the evening. We would really like to return here another time. This place is excellent for exploring Cappadocia with e.g. Turkish Heritage Travel, the agency we used and were very pleased with.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel for 5days on our recent trip to Turkey. The room was lovely the view was spectacular and the staff were friendly and helpful. If you have a problem with stairs ask for a lower room but otherwise the stairs are worth it to have the spectacular view of the town and the balloons each morning if you are inclined to hop out of the cosy beds early enough to see.

Room Tip: top rooms are wonderful with spectacular views

The Vezir Cave Suites were just plain fun because it is built into the side of the mountain. But besides that, the hotel rooms are nice, cozy, large, clean, and have big beautiful bathrooms. Upon our arrival, we were told there was a mistake in our booking, our double was not available, so they put us in another room and said it was free of charge for the night until they moved us to the double room. We would not have even known and the room they put us in was even bigger anyway. That was good business.
The staff, all young guys, were polite, very helpful with hotel and information about the area.
The breakfast included was actually the best I had in Turkey for a hotel breakfast.
I cannot rave enough about the hotel. We watched hot air balloons from our window and just had good ambience and location. Just fyi, it is a 5 min walk downhill to 'downtown Goreme', but very quiet where its situated.

In a few words I'd sum Vezir up as the most perfect and comfortable hotel I've probably ever stayed in, and all this in a cave. A cave. The latter of course makes it extremely cool (and an experience you can't miss in Cappadocia) but it's the former that really distinguishes it from the other cave hotels in Goreme. For starters the welcome and ambience are both warm and professional in the same breath, with friendly attentive staff who want nothing more than for you to feel relaxed and at home. The rooms themselves are stylish and retain the perfect blend of modern fixtures with an ageless and gentle architectural style. Coffee and tea complementary in the room, plush robes and a very comfortable bed make it hard to leave in the morning but extremely welcoming on return from a day's hiking and exploring of the Cappadocian lunar wonderland. Classic antique furniture included a wooden carved desk so you can catch up on your travel journal or jot down a few well wishes for the postcards home (wish you were here...!). Certainly the best night's sleep in Turkey. Peaceful, picturesque, professional. Well done Vezir!
