“Great coffee”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

No *($(@), it is the best coffee, just like the sign says. Was told in istanbul by an Aussie traveler that she found an Australian barista in Goreme and had a great cappuccino.
Well, she was right. Went here two cold days in Goreme and had a nice hot cappuccino.

It's a nice, cozy place and the owners are really, really nice. Great place for a little sit down while in Goreme.

“Good food. Reasonably priced. ”
Reviewed October 25, 2013 via mobile

We ate here for lunch twice while staying in Goreme. The sign outside saying it has the best coffee in Turkey is actually pretty true to its word. We had flat whites (havent been able to have them yet as not really available in europe as much) and they tasted just like flat whites from back home, in new zealand. Delicious! The sandwiches are tasty and I also tried the chocolate crepe..this was so good. My fiance had shish kebabs and was equally happy. Service is friendly enough. They play bob marley music and it has a very chilled atmosphere. We even saw other people visiting twice like us. I would definitely go again! They even do a takeaway picnic pack with sandwhich drink etc which is a great if idea if you want to eat out while exploring the valleys

“Best lentil soup!”
Reviewed October 23, 2013

While walking and orienting ourselves around town, we came upon Cafe Safak. The place looked inviting, and cozy. My friend and I decided on the lentil soup, and wow! It was so delicious and clearly the best the we have tasted! Every lentil soup that we order now is being graded and compared to the one we had at Cafe Safak. Sad to say we did not get the chance to go back and taste their coffee. One reason to return to Goreme in the future.
