“I wow the coffee”

We were in Goreme with my boyfriend from US. He knows his coffee and want to explore what Goreme offers. When he said that he found one, I was skeptical about that. He was right though. Best latte we had so far in Turkey. Keep up the good work :)

Oh also the price was right, too. We paid 26TL for two coffees in Urgup which was horrible as oppose to 16TL for the same ones at Cafe Safak. This is a not a tourist trap. I highly recommend this establishment.

“Happiness is this right here”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

This is a very unique café with a very special atmosphere. It is a great mix of new and old – a young barista playing eclectic music, and the cutest grandpa of the shop smiling benevolently at the customers. “Mum” is an excellent cook – my husband loved the koftes he got, and I loved the vegetarian gozleme crepe. I would definitely recommend trying both. Hubs also got the white flat which he loved, a nice change from having Turkish coffee every day. The restaurant owners/employees are lovely people to talk to and we left feeling very happy at having found this gem. It is conveniently located on Goreme’s main strip, but it still takes some searching because the café’s name doesn’t stand out. There is free wifi and a very small library in the back.
