The food the coffee and Fatima is a doll, Muhammad is a real gem and Ali the owner is just a character no trip to Goreme is complete without a bowl of Fatima's famous lentil soup

This is a very unique café with a very special atmosphere. It is a great mix of new and old – a young barista playing eclectic music, and the cutest grandpa of the shop smiling benevolently at the customers. “Mum” is an excellent cook – my husband loved the koftes he got, and I loved the vegetarian gozleme crepe. I would definitely recommend trying both. Hubs also got the white flat which he loved, a nice change from having Turkish coffee every day. The restaurant owners/employees are lovely people to talk to and we left feeling very happy at having found this gem. It is conveniently located on Goreme’s main strip, but it still takes some searching because the café’s name doesn’t stand out. There is free wifi and a very small library in the back.

It is true: if you like a good cafe latte this is the best place to find it in Turkey. Lovely barista, Australian trained. Coffee very good but food even better. Extremely cheap. You wont taste better lentil soup or gozleme. Free wifi. We will return again tomoorow.

If you are looking for a good coffee fix, you must visit Cafe Safak. Their lattes were delicious, as was the lentil soup.
