Great latte. Good tunes. Good food, too. Part-time staff is Australian. Good place to access wifi and write postcards.

“No joke about award-winning lentil soup!”
Reviewed April 27, 2013 via mobile

I was craving a milkshake after hiking all day long, so it was perfect. We also decided to get some food. Well, the chocolate milkshake was amazing- perfect texture and the right amount of chocolate, but also had a great honey taste to it. The bread they brought out with the lentil soup was soft and chewy and great for mopping up all the delicious goodness of the lentil soup. The "large plate" of chicken had so many great favors- the shredded chicken itself was in a chunky tomato sauce, and it was served with really flavorful rice, and a salad nicely dressed with a vinaigrette. The food was wonderful, and the service very friendly. A great place to eat!

“Loved the coffee and good food too”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

Recently visited Goreme and found Cafe Safak by walking past where the sign outside professed to have 'best coffee between there and oz'' It was such a laid back relaxed place where the coffee lived up to the hype - and given I dislike both turkish coffee and nescafe it was a great find....so much so I returned everyday I was there. Also had their mushroom and cheese crepes which were yummy...

“Great food!”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

Friendly family run eating place which doesn't hang about you checking that the food is OK which can be very annoying - they know they're giving you great food! I had their fantastic lentil soup and chicken shish kebab followed by a turkish crepe (which was to die for!) Very good value and I'd recommend it to anyone.

“Have a Goreme latte!”
Reviewed April 3, 2013 via mobile

Amazingly it was actually a pretty good coffee and I'm used to the best from Melbourne. It was a good alternative if you need a break from Turkish coffee. The service was good but I didn't try the food.
