Found Fat Boy's after wandering around, went inside. Starting chatting to the owner, a fellow Aussie - really nice guy. Good vibes at the bar. Ordered some food, was absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend it for anyone looking to grab a good meal and hang relax for a while

We hung out at the place all the 3 nights we were in Goreme and it didn't disappoint us. It had a very friendly Aussie manager - Mark who ensured that we always got prompt service. As mentioned in the earlier reviews, it has a very chilled out and laid back atmosphere which is perfect for coming back after the day long trips exploring the cappadocia region.

After a full day of sight-seeing & starting to feel the cold,we decided to call into Fatboy's for a drink & something to eat....the place is really laid back & chilled in atmosphere with a very friendly owner & staff....this coupled with the tasty food ( good portions ) & drinks at reasonable prices & the soclable ambience,a mix of travellers & locals alike makes for a great easy-going atmosphere!

I'm one of those people that reads reviews starting with bad ones, so when I found Fat Boys on Tripadvisor I was sceptical seeing a few bad ones but bf really wanted a break from kebabs and lamb so we went. He had the sausage rolls, which made his day and I had the beef sagcava (sp?), also yummy. The service was great and prompt. We decided to visit again and that's when we had the meal of the week - manti and veggie pot kebab, stuffed peppers for apps and Turkish coffee to finish. Let me tell you, I do not like natural yoghurt and I want to put or on everything now!! Thick and creamy, it really enhanced the meal. Everything was super fresh and we appreciated our Aussie waiter giving us a warning that manti will feel lukewarm due to the cold yoghurt sauce that cannot be cooked. All in all, had an amazing meal, with great attentive service, multiple offers of extra bread, etc.

We dropped in to Fat Boys for a drink and were convinced by the friendly owner to stay for dinner. We were blown away by the food we were served - the clay pot beef, the meatballs with cheese and the aubergine patties were some of the tastiest food we've had in Turkey. We were equally surprised at how affordable the food was. The restaurant itself feels a bit touristy and lacks atmosphere but I would definitely recommend going for a meal. The owner and staff are also very welcoming and friendly.
