This was the 2nd Hotel we stayed at during our tour orginised bt Newmarket Travel this was only a one night stop over travelling from Dardanelles to Kusadasi we arrived around 5.30 and checked in very quickly and moved to our room which was spacious with spectacular views over the Dardenelles. We had an evening meal at the hote Buffy style and was of good quality.
Ater diiner the sunset over the Dardanelles was something to see....Breakfast was really good and set you up for a long day sightseeing
As an overnight hotel it was very good...Well done Newmarket another good quality hotel on the Tour

Be carefully if you are planning to go bare foot on the beach near the hotel as there are jelly fishes around.Bathtub very small as if it was for kids.Room is good enough. Not all rooms have a good view so be carefully while selecting the room only some rooms get the sea view

Room Tip: Not all rooms have a good view so be carefully while selecting the room only some rooms get the sea...

Surely if you are rated as a hotel, at minimum basic amenities such as conditioner, and shampoo should come as standard? Not so at Hotel Iris, where you get one pillow per person, no amenities and a very hard bed.

The steps leading from the lobby to the lifts were not supplemented by a ramp(for those traveling not so light) which was a surprise. Overall, not a pleasant stay due to the lack of facilities and the fat that it was a 4 star hotel. Wold have accepted it for what it was (a 2 to 3 star hotel)

Pros : Buffet breakfast was reasonable. Clean
Cons : lacking in some very basic amenities.

If I were the tour guide, I'd have slept in the bus rather than this sad excuse for a hotel.
The bath was full of sharp edges to its dated, aluminium wrap-round screen; the soap dispenser had to be held with one hand while pushing it with the other, else it fell off the tiled wall. Mildew was prominent. Again, the bath was dangerously high off the ground.
The double bed in the main room was so uncomfortable that my wife grabbed the single bed next to it and slept there. The springs sticking in my back were excruciating but she never noticed my groaning.
I washed some smalls, put them on the plastic chairs on the balcony, and spent ages afterwards trying to unlock the patio door and get them in before morning. What is the point in providing a balcony if the management is too lazy to provide reliable access to it?
How the Dickens anyone can praise the food I'll never know. I stuck with the salads rather than risk the limited choice of hot meals. I wanted a boiled egg for breakfast, but they were all cold from the night before. Even the milk was not identified on its carton, so we had to indulge in sample pourings to find out what the contents were.
The view was marvellous, but the smelly zoo private zoo opposite the hotel had about a five minute "ah" impact before I felt like gagging.
How the devil this dump got a 4 star rating says lots about the Turkish rating standards.
Thank the Lord it was only a one night stand.

Room Tip: Insist on NOT staying here.

The bathroom and rooms are fairly out of date, circa 1980s maybe. But otherwise it is a very nice hotel/resort. It's right by the water and there is a really nice patio/bar that overlooks a small but nice beach.

It was part of a tour that we were on so we were only there for one night. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Not a great location if you want to explore Canakkale though.

We are at the hotel as I type this, as a part of a tour. We are in a standard room and I requested an upgrade but was told that this room was the best of the standard. It's a 2 star room. The bathroom is horrible. There is a tiny bathtub with a handheld shower. There is mold and rust and dirt around the shower doors. The bathtub and the toilet seat are stained yellow. The towels are thin and rough and stained.

The room itself is very basic. There is a double bed and a single bed in the room. Not the most comfortable but ok. The decor is cheaply done. There are a lot of flies in the room.

Having said that, their outdoor facilities are beautiful. There is a back patio that looks out on to the sea and a beach and it's lovely.

The food at the buffet is ok, what you would expect from a buffet.

If it wasn't for the outside of this hotel I would have given it a 1 star.

Never ever would I stay here again.

This is a small hotel on the water with lovely sunsets. There is a veranda for guests and the dining room overlooks the veranda. Very pretty really.

The rooms had wall to wall carpet and this should be removed and replaced with tiles. The walls of windows opened so we had fresh air! We looked out on the water and a farm paddock on the other side full of goats, etc.

Beds were hard. Pillows were filthy. Sheets were clean and comfy. Bathroom was filthy with black mold in the corners of the tub/shower. Clorox and a tooth brush would take care of that FAST! They really need to tend to this. It is unhealthy.

Unfortunately, there was very loud music late at night. The staff was responsive and had it shut down within the hotel. It seemed to continue and I learned this was a live concert miles away, the sound carrying across the water. It went on until very late. Staff was quite upset that they could not do anything about this.

The food was OK. The meat dishes I'd pass up.
