Owner description: This tomb, which is also the symbol of Bursa, is one of the most beautiful and unique samples of Ottoman tomb architecture. A lead dome perched on a high hoop covers the octagonal structure, which can be climbed via a marble stairway.

“Don't miss it”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

If you see nothing else in Bursa, make it this and the Green Mosque right across the street from it. There are nice shops and cool restaurants next to it too. The tile work is stunning.

“Small, attached to the Mosque”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

Already commented, to extend the walk around. Narrow place, so be fast in the queue for better pictures.

“Visit during sunset”
Reviewed July 13, 2012

We went there just before sunset (around 8:30 in July) and it was still open and quite empty. You skip the crowd if you go at that time and can better feel the serene and lonely atmosphere of the tomb. After visiting the tomb, go the the Green Mosque right across the street and watch the gorgeous sunset from the courtyard of the mosque.
