Have stayed with my family in Palmin Hotel for a week. Booked last minute hols on impulse and when came home with tickets in my hand, have read terrible reviews! My heart was pounding until we got there. Place appeared to be nice and staff very friendly.

Wasn't happy about "no food from outside" policy but if you'd bring some snack or drink in your beach bag or backpack, nobody asks any questions.. Have never seen anyone to be searched by staff or security. Rooms were cleaned every day and the personnel had obviously seen soft drinks, chips and another snacks not available in the hotel, but nothing was said about it.

Some people mentioned about ear infections. We were ok (my daughter was in water all the time), but I saw birds drinking water from the pool. Believe there was no chlorine in the water.

Won't agree with no entertainment. There was something every night: belly dancer, mogician, synchronised swimming, live music... And some games for kids as well.

Breakfast. Can't complain. variety of fresh baked bread, yoghurts, about 5 types of cheese, some ham, sausages, boiled and scrambled eggs, omlette, crossaints, biscuits, cornfalkes, fruits an vegetables, variety of juces and jam or honey... maybe if you stay for two weeks you'd get bored if nothing was changed. I stayed for one week and it was ok.

Price of food: costs more than in town. But its 4star hotel, kinda expected. But its still comparable, or cheaper than dining out in Ireland. Some examples (after conversion lira to euro): beer €2.8 , pizza €8, chicken curry €10, fajitas €8, coca cola €1.5, scoop of ice cream €1, dessert €2.5. Down in town or at the beach you can get these about 30% cheaper but need to take a walk to the beach or taxi to town and that is another few €. Its up to you.

Do not understand why would you go down to town to buy water - you could buy 5 litre bottle for €1,8 at hotel shop. In town its €1.5

I didn't get a pool view room, but actually was happy about that. I was with little baby and there was music at the pool till late.

Air conditioning worked like a charm. Rooms are equipped with small fridge, kettle etc. Also safe but this one is paid €10 per week.

There is a room for preparing baby food, equipped with fridge, microwave, steriliser etc.

There is paid internet caffe. but if you have your own laptop or smartphone with wifi you can use it for free aroun reception ( restaurant, lobby, pool bar)

I'd go back there again.

Room Tip: Pool side = nicer view. The other side = more quiet

I have written a good review about this place in the past but I have been back and seen why this hotel hotel and its sister hotel, the Sea Pearl, are such dumps. Both hotels are gulags who are interested in customers only when they have money in their hands. They want to keep you in the hotel where prices are more than double what the are outside. The rooms are no bad but basic but the staff are all brought in from East Turkey and they are ignorant and rude.

While I was there one of guest had a problem when her child fell in the bath. She got a letter from the management telling her to look after her kids properly. When she tried to bring in food for the child because there was none available in the hotel her bags were searched by security. She was told that bringing in food was against "international practice". I have stayed in hotels in 77 countries and never heard of this rubbish. When I spoke to reception on her behalf I was told where to go. There are rows here everyday.

My advice to you if going to this great resort is stay away from the Palmin or Sea Pearl. The locals hate these places and taxis change extra to go to them. Book a flight. Get the A to B service from the airport and there are a hundred cheaper hotels right on the beach.
The Turkish people will always look after you but these two Irish owned hotels treat you like dirt. You have been warned.

Prices of food and drinks are far more expensive than the restaurants in Ladies Beach. Every evening when we left the hotel to eat out it was obvious that staff were watching to see which guests left the hotel. Felt all the time while staying in the hotel under pressure to have to purchase as staff were being sent around the pool constantly asking guests to purchase either foodstuffs or entertainment. Nightly entertainment shows were of a poor standard. No entertainment for young kids. When entertainment was organised for older kids the entertainers were sent around the pool harrasing parents to pay for pool and table tennis games. Water polo games were encouraged to be unnecessarily physical until a guest received a very serious eye injury. Pool had no lifeguard on duty and supervision was left to parents as there was no interest from the hotel management to keep the pool area in a safe manner and while I was there several children slipped on wet tiles. Overall this hotel is not suitable for families with young children as there are no activities to keep them entertained. This hotel is more suitable for couples. First time staying in the Palmin and was glad to see the back of it when we checked out. Will never return!!

Room Tip: Rooms over the entertainment area have to endure loud music until the early hourd of the morning. if...

Just back from a two week holiday in the palmin. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I would never stay there again. It was the first holiday that I I wanted to go back home early. You are not allowed consume food and drink that was purchased from outside the hotel. Their prices are extortionate. Your bags will be searched if the management suspect that you are bringing food or drink into the hotel even water. Kusadasi is great but don't stay in the Palmin !!!! Ignore the good reviews, a lot of them were probably written by the management. Although the swimming pool looks lovely, there were a lot of children with ear infections. Finally, bring your own doctor because you will need him / her. There were a lot of injuries to other guests during our stay. This is my first time posting on trip advisor as I feel other potential guests need to be warned.

This is a very clean and well kept hotel. The rooms are cleaned daily and towels changed daily. The rooms are big enough and i had 2 joining rooms on my stay. The pool view is the best room as you have a great view and can also look down at the pool area. There are two slides in the hotel. This is great entertainment for kids and adults. The only problem I found with it was that they only opened for two hours a day and you need to watch your children on it as the staff do not do an excellent job looking over it eg. the slides are only one at a time but they allow 5 or 6 sometimes and then injuries can occor. The entertainment during the day is good and they are not too pushey trying to get you to take part. They have darts and water polo but be careful playing as it can get dangerous. They also have horse racing and pool or table tennis matches. One major thing I feel needs to be adressed is that while on my stay lots of people picked up ear infections. There seemed to be no clorine in the pool as you could open your eyes widely in the pool and birds were also drinking the water. One or two of the staff members there were a little introsive but other than that all the waiters and bartenders were lovely. The hotel is very strict especialy at night time . This is a good thing though as it makes you feel safer. The hotel does not allow you to bring in food or water or any drinks purchased outside the hotel in but if you put them in a beach bag or a handbag you will not be searched. The entertainment at night is not good at all so i would advise guests to go to town for entertainment at night such as yucca as it is very lively. The location is a bit out but the local bus will have you in the centre in about 10 mins costing you 2tl per person. Also I found that booking tours through your rep at the hotel is far more expensive than down the town but it is a handy service as you kno you can definitly rely on it. The meals in the hotel are lovely but the breakfast is poor but you can purchase irish breakfasts and all down staires. Over all i had an excellent holiday in the palmin hotel and an enjoyable stay in turkey.

Room Tip: Get a room with a pool view as it is the best

This is a fantastic hotel for the price you pay, all areas are clean, rooms are big, cleaned everyday, towels changed everyday. Gorgeous Turkish bath you must try. Lovely pool area, very good poolside bar for food. Dolmus stop right out side the hotel to bring you into centre, you must get them back by midnight or you'll have to get a €17 cab, walk down to ladies beach,10 minutes or an extra few minutes the other way and your on green beach, much nicer. Try the Mayflower, Casablanca for food, very cheap. Fantastic watch shops,fake..great spot.
