This was a terrible hotel, the rooms were disgusting, mouldy lampshades, dirty minibar and filthy curtains. The food was revolting and the menu rarely changed, the deserts were even worse than the food as you had to enter your hand past a swarm of flys when they decided to leave the buffet on the outside (great idea). If your a British tourist I would suggest getting your hotel closer to Kusadasi as the people are far more friendly. The staff were just ok but the clientele/guests were the most rude and ignorant people I have ever come across, Seemed to be a lot of russians, irainians and turks who had money as to the fact they were staying at a "5" star which made them think they were better than everyone else. Absolutly no courtesy to other people staying there so if your a Brit by all means go to Kusadasi as the area is nice but please stay away from this hotel as it is not a 5 star 3 at best and with the rudest people on earth. On the one plus side though the outside grounds are quite vast and the (man made) private beach is good but lets face it you'll be on the Aegean coast here anyway so beaches are ten a penny.

Don't be put off by the poor reviews of this hotel. We have just returned from a weeks stay there and found it more than reasonable.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The animation team put in as lot of effort to keep everyone entertained throughout the day. (Special mention to Dragon here, great guy with the kids).

The food was quite typical of mass catering but was always in plentiful supply, the grill chef would be cooking certain meats for you while you wait, inculding at breakfast so you never had to put up with cardboard eggs.

Drinks were freely available, children can help themselves to juice drinks and water, adults to wine at lunchtimes and during the evening. Other achohols attended to by the friendly bar staff who never fround upon the amounts ordered.

The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and bedding every other day.
The only downside would be the storage. As we were a family of four, we didn't have enough space for the clothes and the room space was somewhat snug, but as we only slept in there it wasn't an issue for us, but could be for others.

The fitness centre is somewhat limited, on offer was two treadmills, a multigym, home style stepper and home style bike.
I went once on the treadmill but found it too narrow for my liking as I tend to wander when jogging, but it's better than nothing.

Although the hotel states 5 star, this is not how we would see it in British hotels, would be more like 3 star plus/4 star.

Beware of the transfere time though. People were quoted 40mins from Bodrum airport. This is totally unachievable. The driver took 2 hrs to reach it, after a long day travelling this needs accounting for if you have young children.

Although the hotel comes under Kusadasi, it is some distance form the town, in fact I would not recommend walking alongside the road to get to town.
Rather on the busy side. But the local bus/dolrum runs very frequently and this is the best way to get around.
The hotel has much to offer and runs a nightly entertainment event but for those who like to stroll along a beach come the evening time this is not the place to do it..
For those who want to chill out and tan by the pool it's perfect or even on the small beach though it was too hot for us down there.

Highly recommended is the turkish bath.........................just heavenly

We enjoyed a week here recently despite the negative reports read after we had booked.
Certainly not a five star hotel but comfortable, spacious and clean. Bog standard room layout with plenty of toiletries. A/C was ineffectual, balcony small and unfortunately house martins were trying to build their nests there.
Staff friendly and helpful.
The food was plentiful but uninspiring, and could have been hotter at times.
Local buses to Kusadasi easily accessed and cheap.
Two lovely pools to laze around, plenty of sunloungers and sunshades. The beach was reached by lift and in May was not crowded at all.
'All inclusive' drinks were of the local variety and hangover free!
Would recommend the Turkish Bath but the spa facilities lacked ambience.

Don't understand the complaints about this Hotel. I went with Just You, a holiday company for single people. My husband passed away 2 years ago very suddenly and I was a bit apprehensive about going on this holiday. I needn't have worried. What a fabulous Hotel. Food, accomodation, location, cleanliness first class. Everyone was so friendly. Animation staff were amazing, and the Egg Chef at 6.30am was lovely. Also had a lovely smile. He cooked the perfect omelette or fried egg. Even though we had to vacate our rooms at 12am on the day of departure we were allowed to eat lunch until 2pm. Only little downside were reception staff who were extremely busy most of the time and found it quite hard to smile. They couldn't speak good English but that doesn't really matter. A smile costs nothing and they did respond when I mentioned smiling to them. Staff in shop, all the bars and jewellers were nice too as were the ladies who cleaned the rooms. They had a particular talent for making animals, flowers etc out of the bed linen, towels and even my patio door net was made into a rose. Porters extremely efficient. Didn't get the time to have turkish bath but will next time. If I've forgotten anyone please accept my apologies. Will definitely return one day.

Having had our hotel changed last minute by our tour operator, we were left to make a very quick decision on the alternatives offered. The Onura was one and after reading Trip Advisor reviews we were a little unsure. Apart from the fact that it is a 2.5 hour transfer from Bodrum airport and is stiuated on a busy road about 5 miles from Kusadasi town, we can't really understand previous very negative comments. We have just come back from a week all inclusive and the food and rink were plentiful, staff fairly friendly (OK you always get the odd one who's a bit grumpy), rooms well appointed. Minor niggle about the air con - blows air but does not cool and there is nothing to do in the evnings. The do try and run pop quizzes and such in the disco but it is very cheesy anf the only dancers one night at 1130pm were three kids under 5. However, if you want all your food and drink paid for before you go and really don't want to do more than lounge by the pool, would recommend it.

The Onura (Cande Onura right now) is a large ocean-front hotel just south of the main tourist section of Kusadasi. It has seen better days, but was not in bad condition. Our problem was that other than the hotel itself - there was NOTHING else to do. It is located on the main coast road heading south out of Kusadasi and there is Nothing (and I mean NOTHING) to do if you don't want to sit around the pool or down on the beach area. When we were there it was too cool to enjoy the outside, so we actually bailed on a three day stay and left after the first night (and after seeing Ephesus drove to Gocek, where we stayed at the Swissotel Gocek for four nights and had a WONDERFUL time). Our package was "all inclusive," so if you like all your meals covered, then maybe you would like the place. The crowd was older and tour oriented (very few traveling independently like we were). The staff was friendly if you were friendly with them. No internet in the rooms, and had to buy an internet card from the sundries shop to use wireless in the lobby.

Having read such bad reviews after I had booked my holiday with a group tour I was very worried as to what I would find. The Staff could not be more friendly or helpful or the hotel more clean. The food was good with lots of choose for everyone. The staff were always happy and smiling and always very attentive. I would like go more in season next time as the outside dining area and outside bars were closed (I went in Nov). The sea views from my balcony were lovely as were the pool areas. We had a Turkish bath which is an experience not to be missed. All in all it was great. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS!!!!
