just arrived back from the most chilled out holiday ever. this is thanks to the first class service from every member of staff we had the pleasure to deal with during our stay. the rooms are modern, clean and cleaned with beds changed daily. the food was plentiful, well presented and served hot at all times but if this wasnt hot enough there was a microwave there for guests to use. the waiters in the buffet restaurant were attentive and polite at all times as were the bar staff, reception staff and any other staff we encountered during our holiday. the grounds, pools and beach are clean and safe at all times. sunbeds were never a problem at whatever time of the day we went to find one. i would also like to give a mention to a bar/restaurant we used on a shopping trip into kusadasi. reps from this bar do come into the batihan offering free transport to and from the hotel as long as you have meal at restaurant and then if you want you can do some shopping and then they arrange transport back to hotel. this is a genuine offer and the food is good well priced and do serve english food if wanted. the bar is murphys. If you do have the good fortune to have a holiday at this superb hotel i hope you enjoy it as much as the 5 people in our party did.

Not up to 4 star rating as quoted though ratings do vary in different countries. Staff very helpful on arrival and with a few exceptions mainly so during stay. Room a little cramped for 3 adults no where near enough room for clothes storage. Meals could have been more varied on daily basis though well presented. Coffee and fruit macines kept failing and food on several occasions was cold when returing to table due to queues.Basically with the new building the restaurant cannot cope with the amount of people on site and this was at end of season. Location was poor not many pretty walks in the evening in fact quite a lot of derelict buildings nearby. Local Aqualand nearby was a sorry sight. Shopping in Kusudasi was a nightmare constantly pestered by shopkeepers and on one occasion our son was literally dragged into a genuine fake watch shop. This was our first and last trip to Turkey.

Where do i start - Check in - did not have us booked in took 2.5 hours to sort out then they offered the 4 of us a duplex swing a cat room to share between 4 adults [we had booked 2 sea view rooms] Reception staff spoke little english.and were not interested in sorting our problem out I had to ring Holiday Gems in England and then their reps in Turkey to sort situation out myself!! All inclusive was very poor Beer was tastless with wine undrinkable and options for other drinks very limited. Food in the restaurant was varied but the same old thing every day and at best was luke warm particulary in the evening. Their was no staff in the hotel controlling children [it was half term] they just ran riot in the spa and indoor pool area .The gym was a joke with a 1970's type multi gym which was dangerous in the extreme children were using it along with the running machine under no supervision - Health and Safety is not in this hotels make - up. Got ripped off for a Turkish 1 hour massage [3 of us] which lasted 30 minutes and was in with the general public! Cost for non all inclusive drinks were outrageous for such a basic hotel. The public areas left a lot to be desired particulary during evening times with very little space to relax and enjoy each others company. Restaurant staff and cleaning staff were good but others very rude particulary in the bar by the pool side everything was to much of a problem. Plus side rooms were ok and the grounds pleasant but this hotel really does need a wake up call when it comes to communication, customer service and improvement of very limited facities in some areas. We stayed in the Zuegma Hotel in Belek the year before which was on another planet and was worth 3 times the amount payed here. I heard a rumour that they were going for 5 star status next year - you have to be kidding me!! I could go on and on but how this place gets such positive reviews in beyond all of us that travelled!

Staff at the hotel were very friendly, couldn't do enough for you. Food nice although not a lot of change from day to day. Facilities really good, indoor pool and sauna very relaxing. Rooms very clean although basic. Outdoor pool extremely cold! Maybe the time of year?? Lovely cocktails served at the hotel bar. Location is right on the beach and only a short bus ride to the market and town centre (market day is Wednesday). Taxi much more expensive- recommend the bus! Overall really enjoyed our holiday.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view- it didn't cost any extra and we got one! Spectacular views, especially at su...

stayed here for 2 weeks and got to say this was one of the most thoroughly enoyjable holidays we've had.
Our room and the hotel and grounds were clean and spotless. All the staff from the kitchen, waiting, garden, maids and bar were friendly, polite and extremely hardworking.
The air con is free, but safebox is 1 euro a day.If you require sunbed towels from the hotel, then you have to pay a deposit of 10 euro's.
We we're on the 5th floor in the new block with the room overlooking the pool. The only negative about our room, and i mean its only a small negative is that they are no drawers to put underwear in, only pigeon holes in the wardrobe, and the hanging rail ran north to south, not east to west if you understand my meaning, which meant I had to reach around my wifes clothes to get to mine. We had a separate toilet from the bathroom which we thought was great, bathroom had fitted hairdryer and plenty of mirrors and good lighting (wife told me to put that, for applying make up lol)
The food we thought was really good.Always plenty of hot and cold meals to choose from, you will always find something to eat here believe me as there's so much choice.
The sunset beach restaurant was great to eat outdoors in, you ordered your food here, with only the salad bar buffet style but with a smaller choice of food, sometimes we found the chips cold, but the view overlooking the sea made up for it. At night they have a set menu ala carte here, but you have to pay for your drinks.
They serve snacks (burgers, chips, spag bol) for those who miss lunch (or those that are still hungry?) about 2.30ish, then cakes and ice creams at 4.30pm.
The animation staff were a great laugh and always smiling. I'm not one to take part in activities but i was up playing boulles, killer darts and volleyball due to these guys. So to orkan, ali and mario, cheers mi dears lol.
Some reviewer earlier said this hotel was not good for children, well i've got to differ, as i think this hotel is great place for kids, if only for the water slides.
Like others have said, there are plenty of sunbeds,we found only a small minority putting towels on early, but even latecomers could find a bed (admittedly not around the pool), but you could drag your bed anywhere there's a space.
We must be in the minority here as we never had a problem with any other nationalities regarding bad manners, queue jumping or rudeness. We found everyone pleasant and courteous and willing to talk. We thought it was a great mix of east /west europeans and further afield, even met a couple from afghanistan.
One thing we think the hotel could do is give you a little map of the complex as you check in so you know where everything is, with details of sunset/a la carte restaurant, kids club, animation etc.
Overall we both say this was the best short haul holiday we've had and wouldn't hesitate in recommending The Batihan Hotel for a holiday.
overall we both say this is the best short haul holiday we've had and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it

Room Tip: in the new block, the lower floors have more space, bigger balconies

Me and my husband have just come back from a weeks stay at this hotel, when i read all the bad reviews on here i was very nervous abotu going and was expecting the worst! how wrong could i have been! i dont know where all these people have been staying but its def not the batihan! when we arrived we were greeted straight away and had our bags taken off us and brought to our room we didnt have to lift a finger :) the staff were always nice and friendly to us maybe its because we are english :) they love english people out there! the food was always boiling hot and sooooo much choice, i am a very fussy eater so wasnt alot of choice for me but if you like all varietys of food then you will never go hungry! there is always chips which is what i had twice a day everyday lol but i never got bored of it and also there was chicken, rice, pork, roast turkey, loads of other stuff i did like so i never went hungry! also the desserts!!! omg there is sooooo much my plate was stacked high lunch and dinner. the animation team are so nice also and so funny, the nightclub was abit erm empty lol and the only bad thing about going there is you have to pay for your drinks but we just took out own in there. the main pool was freezing but i was quite happy sunbathing, slides are good and children looked like they were all having a good time. beach is lovely! you can walk for ages in the sea and still be able to touch the floor and the water is so clear you can see your feet! the only thing i am annoyed about is the bars should stay open later than 12 as come 12 o clock you only have the nightclub there which is empty and you have to pay for your drinks but other than that this hotel is absolutley lovely cant fault it in one way all the staff are brillant always wanting to help, rooms are always cleaned every day they even went to the effort of foling the towels into a love heart with rose petals on our last day, they put so much effort into everything at this hotel, they even carve watermelons into flowers. dont go by these bad reviews its all rubbish! also def visit the market some great bargains on there, i got £300s worth of perfume for 80 lira which is about £30!! i will be returning to this hotel with all the family next year and i cannot wait!!!! there is so much more i could say about this hotel it really is brilliant, loved every minute!

Room Tip: newer rooms are bigger but old ones just as nice.
