“Hotel?”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2008

This is our 2nd hotel in Turkey Tour, the tour leader mentioned that this hotel may not be as nice as other hotel and he is true, but why he gave us this hotel? i believe other hotels exist in that area.

first, no internet connection, second no water boiler, third its a hm.....not a very nice hotel, but surprisingly they own stars for this hotel.

Food (dinner and breakfast) are not nice.

though its at the beach, we couldnt enjoy ourselves there.

This place is pretty far outside of Kusadasi, about 16 kilometers south. Because of this I would not stay here again.

The only thing nearby is the Yellow Rose Bar/restaurant/internet cafe. Thank god for the yellow rose. Everything else around there are giant hotels. You have to take a taxi everywhere. We made friends with a great taxi driver though who was very affordable and nice. His name is Ibrahim with Efes Taxi. We hired him to take us to the National Park for an afternoon which was a great trip. He also drove us into kusadasi and back about 3 times. I highly recommend him.

The rooms are nice and every room has a balcony & a great view. The staff was very nice & helpful. Some spoke English.

The dinner buffet is truly awful, the breakfast was okay though.

They have signs saying "we will charge you for food that you bring in from outside" which I think is totally ridiculous. I doubt they actually ever do this, but I think it is bad policy. Its sort of a moot point as there is nowhere around to buy food anyway.

It seems to be primarily used by bus tour groups.

The hotel is fairly clean and pleasant but is quite a way out of Kusadasi town so a Dolmus ride or taxi ride is required - ps the taxi based outside the hotel is a rip-off he will try to charge way too much.
Not much going on after midnight - we arrived at just gone 12 and couldn't get a drink or a snack from the hotel - luckily the Yellow Rose cafe was open just around the corner where we could get a drink - the lads here work all hours all year round for very little money.
As for the animation team - what a nightmare - same activities every day - if you are chillin by the pool they will come and wake you up - and call you names if you don't want to join in - i found them very irritating.
if you go into town BEWARE - the shopkeepers and restaurant staff are very hassley and very persistent to the point of being annoying - they will do anything to get you into their shop or restaurant and when they finish with you they will try and introduce you to their friend or "cousin" and his wares. Oh and their "hospitality" is great until you have bought something or they have worked out you are not going to buy then it will dry up suddenly.
Overall if i had gone to Kusadasi first i would never have returned to Turkey - Luckily I had tried Marmaris first it is MUCH MUCH nicer and more laid back - do yourself a favour stay away from Kusadasi go to Marmaris instead

I stayed here last year with my daughter who is nine. Lots of things for her to do during the day - darts, keep fit in the pool or the beach, bowls. In the evening there was entertainment on the roof - every night and kids were also included alot in this. Bingo, etc. No everyones cup of tea but good if you want your children to be entertained. Food was pretty good. Not a great deal of English there - but everyone was friendly. Animation team are great fun.
