We have been to Turkey 14 times and we found this the best hotel to date, the staff were brill from the recepion to the bar. The rooms are very spacious and clean even though a little dated the bathroom was a good size with a small bath which was lovely after a long day on the beach ( bliss). We went on 3 boat trips all inclusive, a small gullet called the amores we booked this across at the bar on the front with the owner of the boat called Hassan it was £25 each and worth every penny with only 25 adults on board it was magic, on our first day out we saw the dolphins it was amazing. If you wont a good fed go no further then out the hotel turn let and go to Pams cheap and plenty. We went to Izmir for the day on the bus( go to the bus station on the no 1 dolmus to get the bus they run every half hour )what a amazing day that was we recommend this day out a nice change from the beach etc, it is steeped in history. we went on the tourist open topped tour bus, a great way to see the sitesof the city.We will defo go back to this hotel.

Stayed in Kusadasi last year at Paloma Rina Apartments and passed this hotel every night. Ideally located just on the fringe of Centrum, 5 minutes walk into the town. Hotel spotlessly clean, food at the hotel excellent, service great. Pool is on the roof top with a small hotel bar where snacks can be ordered for lunch good value - but better value can be found in resort centre, but for those like me who like to laze by pool ideal. The music they played round the pool left a little to be desired but after 10 days we found ourselves singing along... and missed it on our return to England. Loads of restaurants to chose from in Resort - great little cafe/restaurant just round corner from Derici called PAMs do excellent full English and Sunday Roast. Bar street ten minutes walk away max where loads of IRISH bars can be found.... typical nightlife - rocking til 6.00am but there are loads of places for a more sedate drink if you prefer. Ladies Beach is a Dolmus ride away and great for a change from the pool. Lovely restuarants along the beach front. All in all fab holiday cannot wait to go back!

Derici Hotel is easy to find (we drove down there) as it's located right in the center of the resort, across the road from the main port. The avenue in front is very busy during the day, thus very noisy, but the ouside door (our room has front view to the sea) is sound proof when closed. The room itself could do better with some fresh paint, otherwise everything is in good working condition and the service provided by hotel staff is over the average (locks, sanitary installations, air conditioning, radio, TV set, internet connection, restaurant and reception service, luggage handling). Breakfast quite monotonous for a vegetarian. Decaffenated coffee drinkers shall be dissapointed: no native knows what that is down there!
The panorama from the top (where the dining room and one of the swimming pools are located) is breath-taking, especially in the evening.
Derici hotel is meant for middle age people, as it has no romance, night life, baby facilities etc. As a matter of fact, Kusadasi itself is hardly the place for romance or night life.
We bought lots of extra options (boat trip, jeep safary, scuba diving, visit to the Virgin Mary's house in Efesus with Sunday mass, Turkish night at Kervan Seray, Turkish massage), all well worth their money.
All-in-all it was money well spent (early booking does miracles to fares!) and I highly recommend this hotel.

Did'nt have a bad stay at the Derici Hotel. We had only booked B&B so can't comment on the evening meal. Breakfast was fine. Rooms are very tired, there has been some updating in the bathroom but we did had to ask for the carpet to be cleaned in the bedroom and mould removed from the seal around the bath. That done, we had a good enough stay. We had a side room on the 4th floor overlooking the car park to our right and the sea to our left. As our stay was near the end of the season the other guests were couples and averaged our age group.
If you book this hotel, go with no expectations of grandeur and you wont be disappointed.

After reading some of the reviews of the Derici I was a bit concerned that I had booked the wrong hotel. However the hotel was great, the staff could not have been more helpful.
The breakfast was fine , plenty of it and all fresh. Fantastic location. All in all a great holiday, and I will be booking to go back again next year.

We have been to Turkey 16 times over the last 15 years , but never made it up to Kusadasi , So we booked the Derici Hotel after reading the reviews on trip advisor
We were fortunate to get a 2nd floor room on the front of the hotel and the view was second to none ,
Some of the previous reviews comented about the accomadation , okay the rooms could do with some minor refurbishment , but they were spotless and clean , The maids were in every day and fresh towels daily. so no complaints apart from the pillows which were not to my liking ,but we were on holiday and not at home
The hotel staff were very helpfull at all times especially the reception and the Bar staff, The breakfast was the normal Turkish type with scambled and boiled eggs, cheese, tomatoes, bread etc , but it was plentiful and hot and as much tea, coffee , juice you could drink , baisically it was what we expected and again no complaints ,
If you wanted a Full english then that was extra
The Rooftop area where the pool is situated, was again very clean and tidy and the staff again were very good and pleasant .The pool itself is small but adequate to cool down in and although it is not a Olympic size it serves it purpose
The pool opens at 09:00hrs and there is usually a bit of a dash to get beds and umberellas, the only negative I can say is that some of the Umberellas need replaced because they are broken, and the usual problem , towels on beds and no one on them for most of the day. Frustrating
We were joined by family members during our holiday and they stayed in the Atinc next door , but they spent most of their time using the Derici facilities ,you can work that one out yourself
Outside of the hotel and just around the corner is PAMS place , where you can get some really nice food at reasonable prices and is hot and freshly made, ask for a Big mug of Coffee and you wont be disapointed. They made us sandwiches to take back to the Airport which is just as well because the prices in the Izmir airport are daylight robbery .
In Kusadasi itself then try the SARAY for a meal , really excellent and after your meal there is free fresh fruit and ice cream f
Down the back streets if you can find it is the DROP IN pub where you will be made welcome by ALI and good music all night , really good crack
Ladies beach just down the road is a great place to relax and spend the day with reasonably priced restaurants for food and drink , also at approx16:00hrs the waves start and great fun jumping them or just getting wiped out by them , but you can walk out for quite a distance before it is up to your waist
Boat trips are plentiful and we went with Amores 1 , £25 each , but free drink from start to finish and a maximum of 26 people on board : Great
All in all we had a brilliant holiday and everyone was really friendly

Stayed for 2 weeks in August 2010. Hotel was full and we were given a room at the back of the hotel. I was not aware that the hotel did not allow smoking in the bedrooms? This would have affected the fact that I booked this place. Anyway had no choice but to exile myself to the balcony. Oh and had to buy myself an ashtray!!! We had no view apart from the Istankoy hotel behind us. There were middle aged topless ladies sitting there a lot of the time.
The smoking area for the Istankoy was alas just under our window so the noise went on all night or it seemed to?
We asked for a front room 3 times then just gave up asking!
The breakfast was fine, as was the room just the non smoking and the noise.
